What inspired you to join TAAB?
Breaking into aesthetics can be challenging. There isn’t always a clear path to mentorship or professional development, and much of the journey requires initiative, persistence, and self-directed learning. I was fortunate to have people who were willing to guide me along the way, and I want to help create that same sense of community for others. I also believe the best way to keep growing is to surround yourself with people who are curious, collaborative, and passionate about what they do.

What is one thing you hope TAAB accomplishes?
I hope TAAB becomes a cornerstone of Tucson’s aesthetics community. A trusted resource where professionals can learn, grow, elevate their skills, and build meaningful connections. I’d love for it to set a high standard for collaboration and excellence in our community.

What do you enjoy most about working in aesthetics?
Aesthetics is the perfect intersection of two sides of me: my love of science and medicine and my artistic side. I also love that I get to help people feel more connected to themselves. It’s a privilege to be part of someone’s journey toward feeling like their best self.

Favorite Tucson hidden gem?
Tucson itself is kind of a hidden gem. There are so many beautiful hiking spots, cozy coffee shops, and culinary treasures that it’s hard to pick just one. But I think Gates Pass is a must visit. The combination of an Arizona sunset and a landscape full of saguaros is pretty hard to beat. It’s one of those places that makes you appreciate where you live.

This week we are featuring Christina Wilson in our Meet the Board series. Get to know Christina through her answers below!

Name: Christina Wilson

Credentials: RN | Founder, Christina Wilson Aesthetics | Family Nurse Practitioner Student | National Aesthetic Trainer

Committee Role: Chair of Clinical Education

Years in Practice: 11 Years

What inspired you to join TAAB?
As someone who is deeply passionate about education and patient safety, I was inspired to join the Tucson Aesthetic Advisory Board because I believe collaboration is essential to advancing our industry. Tucson has an incredible community of aesthetic providers, and I wanted to be part of a group dedicated to sharing knowledge, raising standards, and creating opportunities for continued learning. By working together, we can strengthen our local aesthetic community while helping providers deliver safe, ethical, evidence-based care.

What is one thing you hope TAAB accomplishes?
I hope TAAB becomes the leading resource for aesthetic education and professional collaboration in Southern Arizona. My goal is for the organization to provide accessible, high-quality educational opportunities that empower providers at every stage of their careers while promoting patient safety, best practices, and clinical excellence throughout our community.

What do you enjoy most about working in aesthetics?
The most rewarding part of aesthetics is helping patients feel confident while achieving natural-looking results that enhance—not change—their unique features. I also love mentoring and training other providers. Watching clinicians gain confidence, refine their skills, and ultimately provide safer, better outcomes for their patients is incredibly fulfilling. Education is one of the most impactful ways we can elevate our profession.

Favorite Tucson hidden gem?
This might sound a little silly, but I really love Scented Leaf Tea House. Their drinks are so good and my family and I go all the time! They have four locations and I love that we are supporting a locally owned, small business. (The Mango Sunrise is my favorite!)
