Thank you for a beautiful celebration of Mother Nothando Zulu and the Nothando Zulu Storytelling Institute.❤️ We experienced intergenerational excellence with Amazing storytellers and drummers. Brotha Ase, Elder, Mari and Jada this was an absolutely beautiful experience. Much gratitude to Titilayo Bediako and We Win Institute - such a beautiful Afrocentric loving environment. 🙏🏾 THANK YOU for providing this experience for our community. It brought back so many memories from when Dr. Paulette Sankofa introduced me to Mother Zulu back in the day. We use to have storytelling at Lucille’s Kitchen over North where UROC is currently. Mother Zulu was such a powerful storyteller. She made a great impact on me and my kids and so many locally and around the world. My son’s favorite was Brer Rabbit. Mine was The Eagles Who Thought They Were Chickens. 📖 Comment what was your favorite? #blackstorttellingalluance #nothandozulustorytellinginstitute #blackstorytellers #blackstarrestorativeinitiative

Our visit to the Assin Manso River and the Cape Coast dungeon was emotional and sacred. It’s troubling to imagine the fatalities and violent attempts to dehumanize our ancestors. Yet, it was healing to walk the same path they walked, stand in the river where they took their last bath and walk through the dungeons where they were held captive before being shipped into enslavement. The architects of this system of human trafficking, never intended for us to return. It is a miracle from God that we made it back - a Sankofa Moment adorned in resilience, fortitude and perseverance. 🙏🏾❤️🙏🏾🇬🇭 #afrodescendants #blackhistory #blackdiaspora #blackhealing
