One week after closing night and it still lingers in my mind. I never thought this play would be seen by so many people and receive so much support — that it would be embraced. Thank you @panasianrep and @fanchongren for giving me the opportunity to bring this to life. And thanks @shallseetheater for spoiling me. My deepest gratitude to everyone I met on this journey. I feel extremely grateful writing this post. It’s been almost three years since I wrote the first word of this play - and since then the working document of it became a place I constantly went back to as moving through my life. It’s a place holding all my little feeling out-of-place moments, a lot of words and narratives, and a lot of vulgarness that I could not present in life (despite the large amount I believe that has already been seen by most of you). So with deep gratitude I’d like to share the exciting news: my play SHE SAID FUCK THAT’S A PRETTY GIANT DEEP OCEAN is coming alive!!! Thank you so much @panasianrep for selecting it as part of the NuWorks 26’ and @shallseetheater for taking care of it during our development process. With the spirit of New York City embodied by our wonderful Co-Director @de.jing_ shown in the pic - see y’all in theater this June!
