8/15/26 - captured by the outstanding @whiskeyphotosmn
.
we can not begin to thank @thetoxhards enough for letting us open for them at their Minnesota show (not to mention the outstanding @lakeside_effects aswell!).
if you have ever met Anna ever, you know that this was a dream come true for us. this was and is one of her biggest inspirations for song writing, and multiple songs of ours wouldn't exist without the work of The Toxhards (yall like Platypus? yeah, Anna had Oxycontin on HEAVY repeat while writing that song)
and of course, thank you to everyone who came to support us. I know most people were there for The Toxhards and The Toxhards only, but it was so amazing seeing familiar faces in the crowd. this would've never happened without all of your support, and Anna is so glad her interest in this silly hog band got spread to her friends and family!
we're going to be cooking up some new tunes in the studio, so we've got a quiet autumn ahead. until next time though:)
lots of love!

okay, wow, this one is a big one for me.
if you know me at all, you have probably heard me discuss my love of a band called The Toxhards. I got into their music shortly after they released their first single, "How Lucky Am I?" back in 2021. admittedly forgot about them for a while, but eventually found my way back a bit before they released their hit song, "ÆNGUS THE PRIZE-WINNING HOG". since then, I have kept a close ear out for anything related to The Toxhards, and became a super fan. years down the line, i have seen them twice, met them twice, i interviewed them for my Gold Award project, i have the drummers hair, and i have made anyone near my vicinity listen to their music.
The Toxhards are a beautiful passion project put together by some of the most amazing, most talented people i've ever met. that is why it is an absolute joy for me to announce that my band, Joy and Melancholy, will be opening for The Toxhards in less than two weeks. August 15th at Amsterdam Bar and Hall. doors at 6pm, we play at 6:30pm. I would love to see each and every one of you there. :)
