“Black Is Beauty” - 1 of (?)
Transparent Post Alert:
As of recently, I’ve found myself at a point where I’ve become aware that my mental has been on a downward slope. I also realized in this that this isn’t new and is something I’ve actually been just working through until now.

In an attempt to reach out and grasp for something stabilizing, I’ve found myself revisiting things that make me happy, like genuinely happy. One of those being one of my first loves: Photography.

I just wanted to hop on here and say:
1.) yes, I still shoot, but I’m not always up to do photoshoots. I’ve been really intentional this year about how I engage with my craft so as to not end up resenting it.

2.) I will always go to war that I’m still the coldest my age to do it. There’s a level of pride and care in this shit for me that is unmatched. Ain’t nobody capturing Blackness like me.

3.) Take care of you. Whatever that looks like for you. For me, it’s revisiting my love for music, photography, and Black people. My happy place is where all of those meet.

Happy Monday, yall. Here’s some of my favorite shots from the last couple months of Black people existing. There’s honestly so many more I wanted to include.

And if you got this far, special shout-out to you. I really appreciate you. I hope my truth can help someone else.
