Took the @element_rc Cattleman bodied BK3 out today when I was running errands. The @tekinracing electronics in this thing are so smooth! Once this body gets hammered, I’m 98% sure this will become a Project IJ. Body armor, @frontrunnerau rack, @kchilites lightbar, RotoPax, and hood are all from @knightcustoms .

My @teamassociatedrc @dirtfishrally Apex2 Ford Fiesta is still in tarmac spec, so I threw down some portable jumps, parked my DC10 drift car, and ripped some laps with rubber rally tires. They’re the soft Pirelli looking tread pattern, and they’re surprisingly consistent to slide around on. This thing is so nimble, I love it. Trying to get some practice in at nights to prepare for the next @pnwrcrallyleague @253society RC Stage Rally at @griotsgarage on Sept 12th from 5 to 10pm. #rc #rccar #rcrally #rcrallycar #rallycar

First update on taming the @teamassociatedrc SR7 Hoonicorn-
First off- 6S is absolutely absurd. 4S will be just fine 99% of the time. I applied @aclane56 ‘s diff philosophy from my Apex2 drift setup to this since it has no issues spinning the tires. I left the front as is, which was basically just enough to keep it lubed. The center I started with 10k and am completely happy with the power delivery now even with a 6s. The rear I went 1Mcst because it was the thickest I had on hand. Ideally I’m thinking 2M will be it. It has the @factoryteam_rc CS-1 Drift Gyro in it, and combined with the diff tuning this thing is a blast! It’s genuinely thrilling to drive now that you can actually drive the thing hard without it just spinning out. You can hold BIG long drifts with it, but be prepared- you will have rubber from the tires EVERYWHERE lol. It’s truly incredible, you just have to experience it to understand. I look forward to more adventures with this and I think that it 100% needs an upscaled @knightcustoms Hoonicorn interior in it like my 1/10 Hoonicorn Apex2 scale build.

Lots of laps were spun over the weekend. Hopefully all of you got to enjoy some wheel time of some sort! We’ll be adding @knightcustoms parts like the Universal Drift Interior in our Z, to our Shopify store soon.

Maiden voyage of my Project IJ “YJ”.

Build breakdown:

On a @vanquishproducts VS410 chassis, Aluminum D44 axels. 3-link front suspension with a @twistedfabco rear stage 2 long leaf conversion. A ton of flex with a stable and planted front end makes for a fun and capable driving experience, plus the scale movement of a long leafed rig!

Build rounded off with @spec_rc wheels and @proline BFG Krawlers!

SERIAL NO. 111

One of the things I’ve always wanted Red-Line Designs to be known for is giving back to the RC community that made all of this possible.

A few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to join @thatscalercshow podcast, where we talked about RLD, Legacy Build 100, and everything we’ve been working on. During that conversation, Elio from @scalechallengewestofficial asked if I’d be interested in donating something for this year’s raffle.

The answer was an easy one.

Although I couldn’t make the trip to California this year, I still wanted to be a part of the event.

Serial No. 111 was built specifically for Scale Challenge West and will be raffled off to one lucky winner during the event.

Even better, thanks to @vanquishproducts , this body will be mounted to a VS4-10 Kit and given away as a complete Ready-to-Run truck.

A huge thank you to Scale Challenge West for allowing Red-Line Designs to be part of such an incredible event, and to Vanquish Products for stepping up and donating the chassis that will make this giveaway even more special.

To everyone attending this weekend—good luck! I hope Serial No. 111 finds a great home, and I can’t wait to hear who takes it home.

We’ll definitely be keeping an eye on the event from Alabama.

Built for the Red Line.

Wheeling my brushless @tekinracing powered @element_rc Builder’s Kit 3 w/ Cattleman body decked out in @knightcustoms 3D printed accessories (that hood especially 😍). It features the @sor.racing EPX performance parts bundle to give it comp truck geometry while retaining the stock scale looking c-channel chassis. #rc #rccar #scalerc #rccrawler #scaler
