POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
no idea #4 25 Oct 2026 (Sun) @om_being_ Hems‘ fascination with sound and frequency runs through his work across disciplines, finding particular focus on the gong, where his playing holds the resonance and draws out long drones and shifting harmonics. In 2025, he held a residency at MONOM in Berlin, where he developed a site-specific piece for the studio’s 4DSOUND system, presented on a 72-speaker array at Funkhaus Berlin as part of SPATIAL FESTIVAL. He also performs as part of The Listening Body, a band exploring resonance in the listener‘s body through multiple gongs, singing bowls, synthesizers, and spatial sound. Alongside Pagan Red, he runs Titrate, a label dedicated to experimental and avant-garde music. With Eight Fold Way, he founded Hardcore Chillout, the long-running London podcast and event series. „The show was absolutely amazing, but who are you?“ Hearing this after 8 hours of live program, made me smile. Ego doesn‘t matter, music does. @draaimolen_ hosted our show on saturday at their Secret Stage with a system by @additaudio. Thx for an amazing job. But honestly, who are we? @lynne_tokyo and @thatshems, who did the great opening show, followed by LEVL, consisting of @forestdrivewest, DB1 and myself. Keep it up and see you next time!

LINK IN BIO 👁️ THE CONTINUUM 👁️ Continuum: a coherent whole characterised as a collection, sequence, or progression of values or elements varying by minute degrees. A new page of The Continuum, signed by an artist and friend who I truly admire. I met Helena over a year ago, and in a short span of time not only we have become good friends, but she has left me in awe with her sound. When she is in command the artist is @ultramarin_ultramarin . One of those unreal selectors that is at ease with horizontal sounds, dancefloor experimentation, and anything in between. And one of those that has that elusive skill of channelling emotion and passion with each one of her choices. Always. Ultramarín selects with intuition, and she has a masterful touch to connect the dots between musical eras, artistic currents and seemingly distant genres. She opens portals that connect the sounds from yesterday to the ones from tomorrow. An artist that always taught me something new each time I listened to one of her sets. For this chapter of The Continuum she gifts us with a recording of her set in Florence for @de__rio in April. And oh my it is a masterclass. From experimental french sounding tribe, to uk breaks, to ‘delft wave’ atmospheric half time, throwing in curveballs like flamenco, dub or avant gardey sounding acid jazz... the term journey is often overused, but I promise you this one is indeed one. And it comes with a mammoth tracklist, so take note! Scroll ➡️ I have been waiting for a while for Ultramarín. It was well worth it. A timeless gift, thank you. Artwork by @tonyfibla

粥仕込んでお待ちしてます🥣 「absent」 2026.5.10 (Sun) 18PM- / ¥1,500 at Débris @debrisdaikanyama 「DJ」 Lynne (Unknown Species/London) @lynne_tokyo hems (Titrate/London) @thatshems DJ IORI (Moksha Sounds) @dj_iori0309 ASTMA (鉧塊) @astma_kerakai_ 「Flyer」 yasu @sinmannad

Live set recorded last year for our podcast. It took some time to get this out but we're so happy to finally channel this in your ears. This one was born from months spent in the Japanese countryside, bamboo, tea, a river, and a community that quietly shifted something. More lo-tech, more minimal, closer to the ground. Sampler-fed drum machines, free-hand rhythms, and a dub instinct that never left. In dub we trust. Link in bio ⬆️ Illustration by naturalistenj
