There are times you have to go up river to get safely down river. You can either scout things out or read and run the current. Even the most thoroughly scouted lines can go sideways. That is why it’s good to have a solid crew. I have been fortunate to have Nate Reifke not only as a creative partner. He has been a friend when I needed to talk. A brother when I needed one. He is also, IFYK , one helluva an artist. Blessing this community and beyond with some badassery only a true Wizard could dream up. I could not have asked for a better silent partner. Who selflessly offered his creative mind to me. He took my jumbled up thoughts and saw what I couldn’t. All while dealing with his own life. That to me is the very definition of a #pal. He has given me so much to work with. Being in the shop in what was the previous form. Locked in with bullshit companies who are soulless without a true message. With their lame attemtps to be cool and relevant. It was all just one big distraction. I never really embraced any of their regurgated nonsense. It all left me very depIeted. I also never had the energy to truly put forth the effort on what @saltytimbers was throwing down. Now that the dust is settling and the path is opening up. After many hours of deep thoughts, weeks of mixed up emotions. All full of anger, tears, sleepless nights, laughter. Chasing pleasure to hide the pain of growth and change. Speaking with Nate and counseling through this crazy life. I will turn this mess into a message. There will be no selling of big corporate products. Just ideas and concepts. Where creativity, love and light shine through. This life can be a motherfucker. So while Motherlode / Hangtown will go away from 103 Main Street. It will evolve into something far greater than me or you. I have realized that my community needs me, but I need you all more. I have been up in this town. I have also been way down. With the upcoming project we are dreaming up. I hope to uplift people and bring good vibes. This what I see, this is what I feel. This is what is real. The Road Goes On : I have carried the skate / snow shop owner torch in Placerville for the last 10 years. While it has been a fun ride. It is time for me to move on. With that being said. I want to thank everyone who has supported this shop. If you spent 1$ or 1000$, thank you. Maybe you bought a shop shirt or put a sticker on your car, thank you. If you chose to come here. Rather than shop online. Or go down the hill, thank you. It is ALL of you who made this possible. I have nothing but gratitude for your contributions. From now until June 1st ( possibly sooner) I will be focusing on taking apart what we have all built. I will be liquidating the stores inventory. And eventually closing the doors. And locking up. For the last time by June. This will happen in phases. I will make another post on that. The hours of the shop will be changing as well. I will update that also.

If you have any questions or want to know more. Feel free to stop by and ask. Or send me a message. I am sure there will be opinions as well. I welcome those too. The bottom line is this. Running this place has caused me to lose passion for the things I love to do. And to be honest it’s bringing me down. I am not going to ingore that feeling anymore. Other opportunities are coming my way. That will allow me to chase my passions. Happiness is key in this life. And it doesn’t come easy. I could go on and on, but I am not gonna. Creating The Dragon has been challenging and rewarding. We are grateful for the overwhelming support from all of you. It’s been fun to see so many people get after it. However in order to preserve The Dragon we have to shut it down for now. There are some concerns from the property owners about the safety and liability of all of this. In order to respect and address their concerns we have made this decision. This is not the end, it’s just a pause. With solid communication and understanding a compromise can and will be reached. Anyone who knows me, knows that I don’t give up easily. So hang tight, and there will be more info soon. Please respect the spot for now🙏🏼..we will have another session soon👊🏻 Please pass the word around .. thanks!
