Historically Black Colleges and University, also widely known as HBCUs, are hubs for some of the most creative individuals we’ve ever seen. From musicians and influencers to actors and producers, and everything in between. For example, @terrencej is not only known as an actor and former host of 106 & Park, but he is also a proud @ncatsuaggies alum!

This month is dedicated to HBCU Creatives in honor of one of our favorite “holidays,” HOMECOMING! Ask any HBCU alumni you know, homecoming season is one of the greatest times of the year. It wouldn’t be right if we didn’t give them the platform to shine and share their talents, art, and accomplishments thus far.

We’re breaking down the month into 4 segments: Media, Lifestyle, Culture, and Business. Be sure to tap in so you can network with other creatives, learn a few tips and tools, and be exposed to greatness produced by some amazing HBCU students and alumni.

If you’re a HBCU student or graduate, comment your HBCU below ✨

Feel free to tag and share with your favorite HBCU creatives, whether they’re a college freshman or honorable alumni. ⬇️

ATL native and former member of the @b_gmm, @kcalloway__ is most known for her charism and musical talents that will easily leave you breathless.

If her face seems familiar, you may have seen her on the stage of @tvonetv’s Urban One Honors, as she performed as a part of the all women house band. Or maybe you’ve seen her posted on social media, as many share her sultry performances at @poetryonpeter every Monday. But you may have also seen her at @spotlightmixer, as she was one of three creators to organize and host the event in Greensboro, NC in February 2022.

K. Calloway strongly believes in “being the change you want to see,” and it reflects in her community work through @kcallowayfoundation.

24K X All About The Benjamins 💰✨

The meaning behind this years theme is pretty simple. If you know me, you know I love all things luxury while also being true to myself and having a good time like a 252 girl should! I showed class with 24K and I kinda’ showed my a$$ with All About The Benjamin’s! 🤣 — A perfect mix for ya gemini gal!

Not only that, but this years theme is a reminder for myself that the grind doesn’t stop and when I don’t feel like I’m doing enough or moving fast enough, I’m quick to be reminded by the people around me that I’m doing just fine! The money will come, the influencing career will come and the life I want will come! 🤞🏽

Nonetheless, a HUGE thank you to everyone who was apart of my 24K birthday shenanigans! From shooting with @thatsbawselife in ATL to traveling to NOLA with a bomb ass group of friends to my surprise party held in Charlotte! I’m beyond happy, thankful and grateful! 🫶🏽 Now here’s to another year of greatness! 🥂
