🗣️STORYTIME! Earlier this year I got to head write my first show at KML and a bunch of the grannies came out to support (and watch their very own @lasandrei kill it!). At the post-show hang I found them outside @elixirsf not only reveling in each other’s company, but workshopping feet jokes.🦶Fast forward to December and this toe-tally unhinged foot fever dream of an XXXMas show came to fruition, and I could not be more proud and honored to have been part of it. I’ve been a fan of @grannycartgangstas for years, so these past few months of working on this production has been a literal dream cum true, especially having met majority of them online during the 2020 pandemonium. They’re Bay Area sketch comedy legends yall. And they gave ya gurl the opportunity to not only shit out some of the most absurd material I’ve ever written, but to perform on stage in my first acting gig. So much gratitude to @mtalgarow for directing the chaos, whose creative visioning took material far beyond I could’ve ever imagined. To Dave in the tech booth and @aureena for tech, props, and co-founding this amazing group. To @vuhnessuh__ and @thisthuy___ for stage managing and keeping us organized. To every one of the grannies and featured artists for being talented funny supportive motherfuckers. Thanks for coming out to support live comedy and theater. That's sarap! And that's a wrap! Granny Cart Gangstas XXXmas: Suck Our Mistletoes another one in the books! Truly an honor and privilege to be in my first Granny Cart Gangsta show alongside some badass, funny, smart, cackling femmes at one of my favorite places to be @bindlestiff_sf ! Here is my attempt to post more of the awesome shenanigans I be up to... 1) xxxmas cast and past grannies that made it out to our closing night! 2) signature granny cart look we opened the show with, I didn't get a pic of the character I played after this coz it was a quick change in the wings with no lights 3) one and only Nic Feliciano as the third wiseman and me as the second wiseman. Lo was the first wiseman but we couldn't get a pic coz she was doing a quick change right before we enter 4) Tats as yoked Jesus, me as Martin Yan, Nic as creepy santa or should I say not-so-Saint Nic 😆 before we enter scene 5) Chad, the matcha performative dad, who becomes a submissive puppy that serves his wife going through perimenopause 6) Dulce, the 10-year-old whiny kid that cries easily, can't keep still, and wipes their snot all over their arm 7) right before Mr. Matheson and the students step on stage to practice for the holiday recital only to be stopped by the principal when it got good 8) Brian Sandoval, the news anchor who reports on breaking news about a vicious brown squirrel that attacked some people which is actually based on a true story that happened in San Rafael... 9) Rhysand, the brooding man who was dismissed by Queen Amarantha whilst sucking on her ring pop, you had to have been there and if you weren't, I'm sorry but this look was a look 🥵, and Lo getting her outfit ready for the drunk tita in Seafood City Nitez 10) Kai, the preppy sorority girl that gets butt plug on a string for white elephant next to Isya, the one that did the most crazy costume changes all night 11) my look for the second granny cart gangsta outing to Seafood City Madness in Daly City when dj Shortkut was spinning! 12) what you know about our stashes of mustaches?!?
