to have served The Gold and the Blue as a Student Leader will be added to my list as one of my greatest achievements. 💛💙✨

for not only did I serve in one of the highest capacities my senior year, as the elected representative of my peers, but I found a way to serve all 4 years. I walked into the walls of Fisk in August of 2018 as a hungry and sprightly young girl, eager to make my mark and to represent in every way. I always felt a responsibility to stand up for my people. that responsibility then turned into representing Fisk and the people within it because they did that for me every day. I was in the NAACP, an RA in Jubilee, a Student Ambassador, Sophomore Class President, SGA Alumni Affairs Liaison, a member of countless clubs and organizations, and SGA President. I do not express these achievements to brag, they are simply truth. I STAYED busy. I smiled through it all and I inspire every other student to come after me to have the same hunger and the same optimism. Fisk will FEED YOU if you open your mouth. through all adversity, through any lack, this university showed me what abundance was. student leadership showed me that if you go into any challenge with a pure heart, goodness will be yours in the end. even in small roles, I led and I took up space. to any student who is looking to serve, do it with integrity and to bring glory to something bigger than yourself. God will provide when he sees your heart is pure. I am proud of my institution and the Leader it shaped me to become, even when I may have felt hate or negativity, God’s love and positivity was much louder. I just kept my head down, kept myself, and kept working. I charge all the student leaders after me to do the same.

Fisk Today, Fisk Tomorrow, Fisk Forever. 💙💙

Flashback from the recent March we had the chance to participated in. We wore white masks to symbolize how white supremacy has tried to silence our voices, But on this day, we made sure our voices were heard and we marched strongly together! As one!❤️🖤💚✊🏾
