“You gotta endure the sh*t to enjoy the shine.” 🥹

To one man, a glittery red beard is a reminder to practice patience through life’s hard moments. Richard is an example of the good in people, the pride we can carry, and the kindness and support we can give to the community around us! 🫶🏻

And that’s a wrap on this episode of @kansascitybucketlistpodcast, featuring Richard Harper, aka @ThatTealGuy! 🎙️

THANK YOU, Teal Man, for joining me in the studio and sharing your story for others to find inspiration in!

Leave it to a teacher to turn his name into a lesson. Behind the Teal Man paint is a Kansas City teacher spreading a message of safety and respect for every walk of life. He might look loud and outrageous, but at the end of the day, it all comes down to love!!

TEAL isn’t just a color. It’s a code to live by. 🫶🏻

GRWM: Teal Man edition! Two coats of paint for the podcast. Up to FIVE for game day. 🩵✨❤️

@ELFCosmetics, I’ve got just the man for you! @ThatTealGuy’s originality is pure inspiration. 🤩

Curious minds wanted to know how long it takes Richard Harper to get game-day ready, because there’s no match for KC’s sports superfan. ⚽️

The paint, the glitter and the accessories make him one of the best parts of any KC Current match at CPKC Stadium. But his story goes way beyond the look. Richard’s spirit is contagious, and the imprint he’s making on women’s sports is amazing!!

🎧 Trust me, you’ll love hearing him talk about the positive role models who helped make him the man he is today. 🎙️ Full episode out now - link in bio!

What happens when you mix anxiety, a whole lot of teal paint, and a dream of being the ultimate super fan? You get Kansas City’s Teal Man!! 🩵🎉❤️

If only I could have been a fly on the wall seeing the reactions of @ThatTealGuy in character for his first @KCCurrent match appearance…😁👀😎

Richard Harper, aka Teal Man, talked to me about the very first time he walked into Children’s Mercy Park where the Current got their start, and how a few games turned into a full-blown soccer season tradition. ⚽️🏟️

This is the story of a Kansas man who turned his passion for celebrating and supporting women into a full blown persona that brings complete and utter joy and smiles everywhere he goes! 🙌🏻🤗

“There’s enough seriousness in the world. I wanna add a little more whimsy where I can.” – @ThatTealGuy 🩵❤️

T-E-A-L: Trust. Entertainment. Accepting. Love. That’s the motto of Richard Harper, aka Kansas City’s “Teal Man,” who is so much more than the paint and glitter you know him by! 😍

It’s impossible to miss Teal Man when he’s around, and trust me, it’s in your best interest to introduce yourself to the man bringing so much joy and positivity to our world! 🫶🏻👏🏻

Richard opens up about his amazing mom, who made him a lifelong women’s sports fan, growing up with a hearing disability, and why he shows up the way he does for the KC Current and beyond. (We first met him watching the @TheKCDiamonds!) ⚽️💃🏼🏟️⚾️

This one’s a heartfelt one, KC! ⭐And, @KCCurrent, you sure do have the most passionate SUPERFAN as a part of your local KC culture!️

Being a fan is priceless. Being a fan also costs money.

We caught up with KC Current superfan @thattealguy to talk about the cost of fandom, spending on the things you love, and finding the balance between the two.
