Another fabulous event with @raiseyourglass_cheers - this time @lovecheeseyork 🧀. Thanks to Jordan & Cordi for being incredible hosts de fromage!

And thank you to all folk who came down - a lovely evening was spent tasting wine, eating cheese and having a chortle. Hopefully see you on the next one - May 21st - Italy 🇮🇹 North to South, Weird & Wonderful.

An amazing little spot for the wine lovers in Chester called @paysanchester . It also does amazing charcuterie boards, and some gorgeous rotisserie chicken 🐓. But if you aren’t a wine lover there is a bar upstairs that does beers from all over the world 🌍

How am I ever supposed to go back to normal life after this? 🥹

Last year we visited Sonoma County, just a 90-minute drive from San Francisco. We stayed there for 3 nights and spent the entire duration sampling the most beautiful wine at several incredible vineyards and tasting rooms and living our best lives under the Californian sun ☀️🍷

The most incredible place I think I’ve ever been and somewhere I am desperate to revisit 🫶🏼✨

Hope all our lovely wine friends had a beautiful weekend filled with friends, family and most importantly good wine! 🍷 *swipe to see our personal selection!

Choosing wines for Christmas is always a difficult one. A table of people who might have different tastes and budgets, many courses and sides to consider when pairing, it’s a lot! You want to open something special for such a grand day but in the end it’s often easier to go with what you know will please everyone but make you feel a little fancier than your typical Sunday roast wine.

For white we chose one with a little extra oomph but still very easy drinking. The Il Moggio from @cantinagoretti is a versatile Grechetto with tropical fruit, pleasing texture and just enough oak.

For our red we went with a wine we hadn’t sampled in probably over a year. We were interested to see how it was evolving and at the same time knew a 100% Cabernet Sauvignon wouldn’t be too challenging for anyone at the table. This elegant 2017 Bolgheri Rosso DOC from @imperiale_bolgheri is full of dark fruit and spice. With the extra few years in the bottle the tannins have softened even a little more and the wine went down very easily!

We were very happy with our choices and lucky for us so was everyone else!

How about you? Share with us the hit or misses with your Christmas wine selections!

Merry Christmas 🎄 It’s that time isn’t it? I’ve tried to put it off for so long, but I finally gave in and went all out on the pigs in blankets and roast potatoes- needless to say the first helping of many! 😋 And what better way to bring in the festive season than in one of my favourite places to go in York at Christmas time - The Churchill Hotel with their pop-up igloos! 💖 We got a hot roast sharing platter between the two of us and a bottle of pink fizz, because why not! 🥂💕 It was so lovely! I’m definitely starting to feel a little festive now.. Oh and we put the Christmas tree up this weekend too. Well. One of three! 🙈

Yesterday was a lovely day 💕 I spent it with my favourite people planning all things wedding related over a couple of bottles of fizz at @22yardswine 🥂 I’ve never been in here before, but have always seen it come highly recommended and I for one can now stand by those recommendations and bring my own to the table! Absolutely wonderful from start to finish - the atmosphere, the service and of course the vast selection of bottles on offer. I’ll definitely be making this place a regular stop off with the girls! Chin-chin 🥂🍾✨
