September has been a great send off to summer! ☀️Lots of miles at the harbor, trails, views, and experiences. Including a damp Dodgers game with bae❤️. I’m learning to dial in nutrition and cross training. But really your girl just wants to play outside! Looking forward to fall training and more miles and memories on the road and on the trails. Cheers!

YOU EVER SEEN BLACK WHILE RACING? 🌀🏴‍☠️ • Glimpses of The Mile and 5k heats at LA Track Night @trialsofmilesracing

No easy feat to set yourself on fire for a short distance and dance on the line. The line of failure, of safety, of a new possibility, of expanding into a new You.

A huge thank you to the organizers and pacers, the friends who show up for each other and to the runners for giving their all ⚡️

What. A. Night.

A couple weeks ago I had the honor and privilege to show a rough cut of my latest documentary “Light on a Hill” to a community and family that is dear to my heart. Around 100 people showed up, we had a DJ @djfunrun on the turn tables, the accordion was being played by my friend Stanley, one Altadena’s very own and one of the best food trucks in LA @tacos210_ (hands down!) rolled through and served, and hugs and memories were shared.

We held a Q&A after for feedback and also 1 on 1’s when people came up to me and it was overwhelmingly positive. Some changes were made on those suggestions, but overall everyone wanted it out and they said they want the world to see it. Something that every artist and filmmaker can only dream of.

There’s so much more I can share and write, but as I reflect back on that night it just makes me happy and grateful. A film that had no intention or thought of making until this summer came to life. But I guess that how storytelling goes. As a best bud of mine said right before this screening, “Ideas are living creatures. Ideas believe you are the right person to bring it to life. They latch on to you and it’s up to you to do something with it or else it gets tiresome. In a way, it’s not really your piece. But it’s your job to release it.”

Thank you to @fairoaksburger and the Lee family for all you have done for Altadena and have done even before the fires. Since the late 1970’s you have been serving the community and continue to so to this day.

Also, thank you to all the organizations that helped, not only at this restaurant, but all around Altadena. Your work and dedication doesn’t go unnoticed.

Looking forward to the films release in 2026.

Photo’s and memories were captured by the amazing @what_molly_sees and video by @connorjt26

Thank you all 🙏🏽

For those of you who don’t know what this film is about here’s the logline.

“After the Eaton Fire, a Korean family’s restaurant becomes a hub for aid. As the community rebuilds, a mural by Robert Vargas shows how art heals. Told through mixed media and home footage by those who lived it, recovery rises through the ashes.”

3 years of running @chimarathon (2018, 2023,2024).

This year, I got another qualified entry, but I chose to be a part of something big & what I love to do…to be a part of the CHICAGO MARATHON PACE TEAM!!!
It is truly an honor to pace a @wmmajors and I cannot wait to run 26.2 miles in the Windy City again with everyone and cross that finish line with your goal time!!! 4 weeks, 5 days to go!
