🤜🤛Today we wish Ed good luck! We have been so excited to be a part of Ed’s journey this summer. Ed came to us after seeing us here on instagram and since day 1, has come ready to work and learn. Ed began in the weight room 2x a week working out with Coach Shepard and shortly thereafter began doing a customized throwing program here in the facility. Ed successfully worked his hardest here all while playing in a men's league here in Boston. As the summer progressed, Ed switch to 3x a week, before heading off to Hamilton College in New York. Ed has grown stronger and learned how to move better and felt stronger on the mound. We can't wait to see how he does and get him back during the winter before spring season picks up. Thank you and best of luck Ed, we know you will take your work ethic with you and excell on your journey. ___ #coaching #baseball #motivation #inspiration #strong #health #sports #strength #mindset #health #fitness #fit @wagsandweights #armcare @wagsrecovery #athletes #athletics #performance #performbetter @perform_better #fitfam #strengthtraining #newbalancebaseball #newbalance #teamnb @newbalance @nbbaseball @stack @5toolperformance #dedham #sports #performance

Our next report is on Michael Stenberg of Thayer Academy. The 6’1”, 195 lbs, 15 year old from Needham, MA started his prep school hockey career a year early. Mike played his first game at Thayer when he was in 8th grade while attending Thayer’s middle school program. In Mike’s eighth grade year, he had 5 goals and 11 assists for a total of 16 points. This previous season as a Freshman, Mike had 18 goals and 23 assists for a whopping 41 point season. At only 15, he is showing talent that should be shown from a 16-17 year old prep school player. Mike has defied the odds by ripping up prep school hockey at such a young age. This season at Thayer, Mike and his teammates won the Valcenti Cup at Thayer Academy’s brand new rink on campus. Thayer won the championship game against a very strong St. Sebastian’s team by a huge score of 5-1, to claim the title. Thayer made it to the NEPSAC Large School tournament as the #5 seed, but lost to #4 seed St. Sebastian’s 2-0, in the first round. Mike has also been drafted by two major junior teams; The Des Moines Buccaneers of the USHL and the Halifax Mooseheads of the QMJHL. In April of 2019, Mike committed to “B1G Ten” power house Penn State, to play Division 1 college hockey. Mike chose Penn State because “My older siblings went there and I was familiar with the campus and sporting events”. Mike also played for the U16 Cape Cod Whalers this past season before playing for Thayer. The Whalers were ranked #3 in Massachusetts and #30 in the country for U16 T1 AAA teams. Mikey is also striving to get better by “working on my stick skills and my skating as I get older”. Best of luck to Mike and Thayer Academy this upcoming season! Written by @ryancaulfield8

Our next report is on Tom Kiesewetter, the 6’6, 185 lbs, 15 year old ‘05 goaltender from Plymouth MA. Tom played for BC High this year playing 14 Games, and going 13-0-1, and having a 1.39 GAA and a 0.913 save % as a freshman. Before playing for BC high, Tom played on the U14 Minuteman Flames Elite team and taking them all the way to the U14 State final but to lose to a very high level skilled Boston Junior Eagles team. For the first half of the season at BC High, Tom found himself on the bench as a backup not playing. But when Tom got a chance he didn’t look back. Leading his team as a freshman all the way to the Super 8 only to lose to Saint Johns Prep 3-2 in the quarter finals. This upcoming school year, Tom will play at top 20 NEPSAC school, Thayer Academy and before that he will play for the Boston Junior Eagles U16 Elite team. Tom chose Thayer “because I felt like it will give me the best chance to develop as a player while also giving me the best chance to win.” Best of luck to Tom at Thayer and the Jr Eagles this upcoming season!
