Since it’s National Daughter’s Day, I’ll brag on my two☺️ I didn’t think I could love them anymore or could be anymore proud of them, then they both gave us grand babies pretty much at the same time, give or take a couple days.💖💙😃🥰 They are rocking this mom life! It blesses my soul to see them learn and grow together, supporting each other, pushing each other to be the best versions of themselves, so they can be the best mamas to their babies and wives to their husbands. They never fail to give God the praise for everything He has blessed them with, which blesses me the most! ❤️ #nationaldaughtersday

I realize more and more that I make some weird faces when I workout🥴

Upped my weight to 20#DBs and I swear I was getting the dumbbell high enough! Either way, it was a victory for me to use the 20s for the whole workout! This Vault was actually pretty enjoyable for me!

I also noticed, when you workout with someone, you’re sometimes forced to push yourself with heavier weight and that is okay😬

A couple of things:
1) ALI HIT HER 75TH WORKOUT YESTERDAY AND I AM SO STINKING PROUD OF HER!!! She set a goal for herself freshly postpartum and with not having worked out in THREE YEARS and she CRUSHED IT😱. She says I motivate her, but little does she know how she motivates me too! I push her to get out of her comfort zone, but she pushes me to have grace and lets me know that it’s okay to modify and to not be 100% all the time! I know I’m a day late, but please see #2.

2) this is a single post for the last 3 days because I’m a #slacker and life gets busy and hectic. Further questions, please see #3.

3) yes, I am wearing Chacos to workout in 2/3 of these workouts. I couldn’t help but think of @theninjamanatee when I put them on and eventually worked out in them (that was not the plan, it just happened)😂🤷🏼‍♀️

Have a great weekend, y’all!

First attempt at Vault SHIFT Kronos! I’ve been waiting for the first Vault workout after bowing out ✨gracefully✨ during the first round to have a baby🤪

I looooveee burpees so I was in hog heaven with this one! It was difficult nonetheless, but I still enjoyed it! Ali on the other hand hates burpees with every fiber of her being so there was a lot of cheering going on to keep her going! 😂

I’m so proud of her for doing every single burpee unmodified and for making it well below the time cap!

Today’s WOD got a lil spicy, but anything for time is a win for us. We get in, we crank it out, then we take a very short run (like MAYBE 400m), then we grab our babies and go😂

Also the vid from yesterday was sent after bed time and is wonky for some reason, but I swear we worked out.

The babies were super sleepy and clingy so we got started WAY later than usual, but we got it done!

Normally the timed movement workouts that are broken into rounds drag for me, but today’s zipped right by and I didn’t hate it!

Okay I didn’t hate Vault RHEA, but I also didn’t love it. I was satisfyingly sweaty and tired after the fact, so that was great.

I logged my points last night for the last week of #julianvsmiranda2021 challenge for my Palomas! I think we can pull off the dub…again!

In case you needed a laugh today🤪🤣

Disclaimer: I am A-Ok, my legs just decided to not work in the middle of my first box jumps after goblet squats. Thank the Lord my plyo box was beside our “low” box so I could collapse gracefully😂

Okay so we did the tester workout for the Julian vs Miranda challenge today and we did not PR (womp womp), BUT we did make some major improvements since the last time we did it!!

- I did every single push up + taps from my toes without any mods! This was the first time since I got pregnant last year!!
- Ali went from assisted, elevated push up + taps to doing all of them from her knees
- Ali also went from no push up, elevated burpees to knee push up burpees!!
- and Ali also went up from 15# to 20# for the KB swings!

These may seem like small things to you, but to us they are HUGE improvements and milestones that we’ve been working towards in this postpartum stage!! All this to say, victories are not always found in the scores ladies and gents. We could have dwindled on the fact that we were about a minute slower (still under the goal time!), but instead we found joy in the more subtle victories!
