I am honored to be considered among the esteemed lineage of exceptional leaders, having successfully completed the Master Leadership Program of San Antonio. It is now my distinct privilege to join 48 other community leaders as a representative of Class XXII.

My sincere gratitude extends to my many classmates who offered inspiration and shared their invaluable perspectives and narratives throughout this journey.

As we enter the last week Women’s History Month, we wanted to post a reminder to visit our FREE month-long exhibition: For the Love of Woman - an ode to women both as the artist, and as the muse. We’ve been celebrating women in all of their splendor with this, and would love to share it with you.

Visit us on the 3rd floor of St. Paul’s Square to enjoy all of the art.

Bring your sister, daughter, mother, or your friend. The experience is to be shared❤️

Because of my interest in Black history, I’ve had the pleasure of connecting with @saaacam_tx and its CEO, Deborah Omowale Jarmon. Through Deborah’s leadership, SAAACAM has become a vital space for community, culture, and connection. In working with SAAACAM, I’ve witnessed Deborah’s deep commitment to honoring the past while inspiring the future. This Juneteenth, I look forward to her insight on the power of storytelling, legacy, and the creative ways our ancestors built and sustained community.

The Wilson Pottery business is the oldest Black-owned business on record in Texas. Its legacy is preserved and shared by the descendants of its founders, including Paula King-Harper who serves as the President of the Wilson Pottery Foundation. In speaking with Paula I’ve had the opportunity to learn so much about her family and their role in preserving Black history. I hope you’ll join us in celebration of Juneteenth, as we discuss how our ancestors leaned into their creativity and ingenuity to preserve culture, share stories and survive.

l’m super excited to have @justgwquilts as a panelist for the Resting, Rising, and Rebuilding Community event. As an artist, Georgia Williams brings attention to the history that often goes overlooked. As we celebrate Juneteenth, we reflect with a discussion on how Black women’s contributions have been integral to the success of our communities. I know that Georgia will bring a wealth of knowledge to this conversation.
Join us on Sunday, June 15 at 11:30 am for a panel and luncheon, featuring fashions by Jaluda, and art by @justgwquilts , @artandamp , @pretty_girl_pour and more! LINK IN BIO
