When you and your doula client work at a dance studio together, of course dancing becomes a labor tool! 👯‍♀️😂

I had the honor of being my friend and coworker’s doula, and during labor, I encouraged her to do a little dancing. 💕 And honestly, dancing in labor can be such a great tool!

Movement can help encourage baby’s positioning and progress in labor, while dancing and moving to music can help release oxytocin, regulate the nervous system, and create a sense of comfort and relaxation. Plus, sometimes it just feels good to move your body! 🕺💃

I love encouraging movement in labor in whatever way feels good for the birthing person, and in this case, a little dancing was the perfect choice! 🥰

And if you want to come dance with us when you’re not in labor, check out the adult classes at @balancednce 😁

She asked me to be her doula years ago and now it's time! 💙 Loved celebrating Dani at her baby shower. My sweet friend, doula client, co-worker, and Bungee instructor mentor...what an honor to be your doula. 🤗

Went to see the Roulin Family portraits with my Brother and Sister this week.

I think I’ll be processing this for a long time.

I feel so at home in art museums.

To be there with Dani and Trav was more special than I can say.

They made a quick trip all the way from Texas to see us.

I love them so much. We’ve been through a lot together.

I love Van Gogh so much I don’t care it it’s cliche.

To see these portraits of a family with my family…

By an artist who couldn’t have made it without his brother…

As a family who has struggled for generations with mental health conditions.

While my brain is more burnt out than I care to admit.

As an artist who is trying so hard to be an artist…make a mark…

All while I pack up to leave this country…my home.

It’s a memory that I’ll treasure my whole life.

I love you guys forever.

(Next time the tattoos won’t be temporary.)
