Hung out with us for at least 45 minutes this way. Straight from Cham up to the north to plant trees—the ultimate Canadian ski bum job.

This years’ @the.fifty.plus series on YouTube is gonna be a bit different. It’s not just about finding classics anymore, it’s about digging deep on the important questions so you don’t have to. It’s about setting big goals where failure has consequence. It’s about—well, maybe snowblading classic steep skiing descents because why the f&*# not. Either or, it’s still about adventure in wild places…but perhaps with some unexpected twists.

#teambronco_ambassador / May ski road trip in the Canadian Rockies.
Experienced all types of conditions and weather in one week - typical for late spring in the mountains. Sandals one day and down puffies the next. Was fun to have along my OG road trip companion, @theothebrave, as he’s been left home more and more the past few years. So many squirrels to chase on down days. 😆 We both had a great time. Wrapping up winter is bittersweet, but so glad to get in this last trip up north before hanging up the skis for a bit.

Still plenty of skiing to be had, all you have to do is head north. 🇨🇦
I met up with @codytownsend & @bjarnesalen for some @the.fifty.plus filming in the Canadian Rockies and this place does not disappoint. Takeaway from this trip is May is a really great time to visit and ski backcountry. Reasons: more approachable temps than winter which makes a long day of adventuring easier to deal with (you can call me a softie but I did give birth to a child), you still get to ski powder at higher elevations, you have more daylight to work with, it’s low season in these parts / very uncrowded this time of year as most resorts are closed and it’s not summer tourist season yet. Anyway, I give this trip a 5 star rating - and, Cody will attest to this, my expectations are not undemanding. 😏

This is an expert only technique. Make sure to practice and refine before you bring this out into the backcountry.

Send this to somebody you think is qualified for this advanced technique.

Seems pretty easy, right?

(It is not)
