✨ This is what happens when women come together ✨

50 women. One room.
And an energy you can’t quite explain - only feel!

At SW London Women + Beyond, it’s never just about the speakers. It’s about what happens between women.
The conversations. The honesty. The moment something shifts.

Because so many women walk in at a turning point,
questioning their careers, craving more, knowing something isn’t quite aligned. Then …they leave with a new idea, a new connection, or the confidence to start again.

We’ve seen women launch businesses, pivot paths, and back themselves…all sparked by a single evening in the right room.

At our last event ‘Women With Disabilities Leading Change’, the conversations went deeper. There was honesty around challenge, stigma and being underestimated and a shared thread of resilience.

Each speaker, in their own way, showed what it means to push boundaries, challenge systems and lead change with purpose, not in spite of their experiences, but because of them.

With powerful contributions from @naomiriches_mbe, @anica_zeyen , @allthingsgabz, guided by Dr Cherrie Short CBE, and a moment of connection through @linseigh Green’s voice 🎶

But what stayed with us most?
The women in the room.
The openness. The support. The shared understanding.

This is what we’re building.
A space where women feel seen, heard and inspired to take their next step, whatever that looks like.

✨ Disabled Women Leading Change ✨

Last week, we gathered to mark International Women’s Day with a conversation rooted in lived experience, inclusive leadership, and real, systemic change.

It was also our first event as a formally registered Community Interest Company and it felt exactly like the beginning we had hoped for.

We were honoured to have Cherry Short CBE as our moderator. Dr Short guided the evening with depth, warmth and clarity, holding space for honesty and vulnerability in a way that set the tone for everything that followed.

Our speakers each brought something distinct and deeply powerful:

🔹 @naomiriches_mbe challenged us to reconsider what strength and success truly look like, sharing reflections on resilience, mindset and redefining excellence.

🔹 @anica_zeyen invited us to think differently about accessibility and inclusion, reminding us that systems must evolve if leadership is to be truly inclusive.

🔹 @allthingsgabz spoke candidly about women’s health, lived experience and advocacy & shining a light on conversations too often dismissed, and their very real personal, professional and economic impact.

🔹 @linseigh shared her journey living with Functional Neurological Disorder (FND) with a rawness and courage that moved the entire room. And then she sang. In that moment, something shifted - her voice didn’t just fill the space, it brought us together. Not as an audience, but as a community.

We only touched the surface of each story. Yet what was shared was profound.

This wasn’t surface-level networking. It was human connection. Learning. Reflection. Change beginning in real time. It was a reminder of what becomes possible when women come together with openness, trust, and a willingness to be truly seen.

SW London Women + Beyond was created to champion inclusive leadership and amplify women’s voices and last week embodied exactly that.

To Cherrie, Anica, Gabz, Naomi, Linseigh and to every woman who showed up and brought her energy to that room.

What a night ✨

We believe in real connection, honest stories and collective strength. Last month’s “Pause That Powers You” gathering brought exactly that - a room full of women, sharing, listening, supporting one another, and turning overwhelm into clarity, and, insight into power.

We were moved by the inspiring journeys of our speakers: from mid-life rediscovery and purpose-driven entrepreneurship, to balancing motherhood and law, to transforming personal trauma into a bridge for safer conversations.

Their stories reminded us that growth often comes in unexpected moments and it’s powerful when we share them together.

Our mission is simple: to create a safe space for women to connect, grow, pivot and belong. We champion diversity and support ambition So whether you’re building a business, rethinking your career, navigating life’s changes, or simply craving genuine in-person connection, then you belong here.

Evidence of an excellent autumn thus far. Another new kitten in our house. His name is Unit and he’s half Maine Coon. Oasis 😭 Other miscellaneous kittens. Successful first Sunday sound healing with @ramsoundhealing (next one 2nd Nov 🔗), nails @v_lovefornails, yoga and topical Halloween outfit considerations.

Fran from @flo.nutritionist and I were lucky enough to be invited along to try out Putney Recovery Room on Carlton drive within the @putneybjj building. They have a fab room here with a Finnish Sauna and cold plunge bath. I have to admit I am a rookie with a cold plunge, but with a little persistence I found I could stay longer each time. This is a great spot for down time (take a friend or two along for a girls catch up!) and alternating between the two gives you a real energy boost and is so invigorating! Thank you for having us along.

Sessions start from only £15 per person. I’ll definitely be back!

Still feeling the energy from our summer event!

A very special thank you to singer&activist: Linseigh - your beautiful voice brought such soul to the evening. It was so wonderful to have you with us, your performance added something truly magical to the atmosphere.

A special thanks to Michelle for sharing your story of coming full circle. From attending our event in February and walking away inspired, to stepping into your new role as CEO of Sonagi by the very next event, your journey is nothing short of incredible. We’re so proud to be even a small part of that spark.

And to all the incredible women who joined us - THANK YOU. Your energy, presence, openness, and support made the night what it was. We are endlessly grateful to be surrounded by such a vibrant, generous community. You remind us time and again of the power of showing up, for ourselves and for one another.

We’ve been reflecting on the messages received. People shared things they never had before. Others described moments of unexpected comfort or connection. A few simply said: “I didn’t realise how much I needed that.”

Creating experiences like these ones that move people at their core is why we do what we do. When we gather with intention and open hearts, we build something truly powerful: not just an event, but a feeling that lingers, a space where something shifts.
