Apparently, playwrights never throw anything away! 🤣Every play has a story behind it, and sometimes that story finds its way onto the stage. RORSCHACH playwright Kelly Younger shares a few hidden Easter eggs in the production, including some very personal pieces of the play’s 17-year journey from idea to world premiere.

Take a closer look. You might be surprised by what’s hiding in plain sight!

Opening Night of RORSCHACH at the @skylighttheatre ! What a gift this production is! @kellytheyounger wrote a beautiful, poetic , HUMAN story that @ecamwat Cameron Watson waited 17 years to get produced. As they say, things happen in their own time.

I was so thrilled to be invited to cast this inaugural production with Cam in his new role as Artistic Director. And we found the perfect actors to bring this world to vibrant life! I adore our local LOS ANGELES community of actors and am so grateful to have opportunities to let you shine.

Yes, that IS @octaviaspencer you see here. We thank you for your support and for amplifying the beautiful work being produced right here in LA, with local designers, production staff, artistic staff, performers... all of it.

@masonmcculley Your energy in the Producer's seat is giddily infectious. Your passion is felt deeply, your joy is boundless.

And to this extraordinary cast, have an amazing run. You are all so connected, doing rich, layered, complex, funny, multi-faceted work. You know I'll be back... and I cannot wait to see all the growth that will assuredly be nurtured.

Get your tickets, my community. We need this gentle cloud-mist of a play in the world right now.

What might this be? Your invitation to immerse in joy.
