The culmination of my research over the summer led to a joint-lecture recital featuring me, my horn professor and research advisor, Sadie Glass, and one of my horn colleagues, Lily Walter.

Getting to share my experiences over the summer has been extremely rewarding; a lot of time and work went into this life-changing project. Thank you to everyone who followed along.

My research this summer would not have been possible without the following grants and scholarships:
- Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship
- Cormont Horn Camp Scholarship
- Signa Alpha Iota Music Project Development Grant
- Music Performance Trust Fund
- Michael J. Hall UOP Conservatory Scholarship
- UOP Conference Funding

An additional thank to The Alphorn Project and the Alphorn Association of North America for supporting me throughout this journey.

6 of our amazing Union members are performing this week and next for the Music Performance Trust Fund’s MusicianFest, providing musical performances to communities in senior centers and retirement homes. We’ve focused our efforts this year on retirement homes in the surrounding Austin area, bringing performances to spaces that don’t often have the budget for quality entertainment.
Thank you @the.mptf for funding these performances, @jwrizamusic for organizing, and thank you to our musicians for spreading joy and engagement to our senior communities!
Musicians:
(Upper row, left to right): Michele Solberg, Shawn Ellison, Les Young
(Bottom row): Thurman Love, Joe Blanda, David Greenfield Bowie
