SUN, GOLF GREENS & AIR-COOLED MACHINES
@classicsattheclubhouse — what a weekend. ⛳️

Every year Classics At The Clubhouse gets bigger and better, the new layout worked a treat, and honestly… car shows on golf courses just make so much sense. Hot weather, cool cars, and an unreal mix of machines across the greens.
We had a blast catching up with old friends, meeting new ones, and soaking up everything that makes this event so special. 😎🤙

Huge credit to @pj_gibbons and everyone involved for pulling together another absolute belter of an event, celebrating air-cooled culture in every shape, shade and story.

Today we hit our target of 400 air-cooled vehicles registered to the event. Thank you so much for your support.

We still have a number of display passes remaining, so it’s not too late to join us in your air-cooled classic this Sunday.

Hundreds of air-cooled vehicles will be displayed across four beautiful golf holes, featuring lakes, bunkers, tees, greens, woodland and more. Not to mention hand-picked traders, curated displays, incredible awards and phenomenal street food...

This is our most ambitious event to date. We hope you can join us.

Camping is sold out. Sunday passes are still available. Display passes are now limited.

All air-cooled vehicles are welcome to display on our fairways...

Like what you see? You can read all about Paul Leyton’s 356 in the next issue of Hayburner Magazine…

A little preview of what you can expect at Classics at the Clubhouse 2026.

Have a flick through a small selection of images from our recent sponsor preview evening, featuring vehicles from @wrightune @justkampers and Hayburner Magazine.

For the first time, Classics at the Clubhouse moves to the stunning Lakes Course at Sandford Springs Hotel & Golf Club, offering over 23 acres of fairways, lakes and woodland dedicated exclusively to air-cooled vehicles.

Have you booked your tickets yet?

All air-cooled vehicles are welcome and will be able to display on the fairways, whether stock, modified, restored or somewhere in between.

Camping is open to both air and water-cooled vehicles, but availability is now extremely limited.

Rather unexpectedly, the humble little Bug has brought about some of this year’s most memorable motoring moments, shared with family and friends.

Its core purpose of being a simple, affordable, regular-use car, built for long distance driving, is as relevant today as it ever was. The original grand tourer.

I wasn’t prepared for how it feels to firstly hear history roaring out of the darkness, before finally seeing the headlights trail their way under the evening sunset. The thunder rolls over you, as you pause conversations with friends and witness iconic shapes of motoring history pass by at speed. Taillights then narrow, as they ahead away down the circuit to the next challenging corner or relentless high-speed straight.

Most of my time at this year’s Le Mans Classic was spent absorbing the atmosphere with friends, sharing the moment. Very little behind the camera lens, so forgive my briefest of visual documentary.

Spectating is one thing, I can only imagine what racing this most demanding of circuits is like.
Mr Le Mans himself puts it best:

Speed is one thing - 220kph+ average speed over 24 hours - but what about being fast for four hours straight, racing in darkness in the middle of the night with nothing but your wits to keep your wheels on the road?
Or how about terrifyingly low visibility driving at an average speed of 220kph?
That’s another thing entirely.

— Tom Kristensen, ‘Mr Le Mans’
