Let’s be real: Thanksgiving isn’t just about Turkey. 🦃✨It’s about piling your plate with a side of stress 😅 and a dash of chaos 🤡

Welcome to the STRESS BUFFET

Family dynamics?

More dessert please

Unrealistic expectations?

Can I get seconds on boundaries?

And let’s not forget the emotional hangover from juggling it all.

So how do you balance gratitude with self-care?

Here’s a SEW Balance-inspired approach:

1️⃣ Mind Your Vital Factors:

Sleep, eat nourishing foods, and yes—move your body (even if it’s just walking off the pie).

2️⃣ Pause for Gratitude:

Offer to give ‘thanks’ at the table

3️⃣ Set Intentional Boundaries:

Sure Aunt Lucy’s politics are exhausting, so step outside if needed for a break.

It will help you to stay sane 🤣

Remember:

Thanksgiving is about thankfulness, not perfection.

You can be grateful for your family and still need a breather from them—both things can be true.

How are you taking care of yourself this holiday?

Let me know in the comments—and don’t forget to save a slice of pie for later. 🍂✨

Mental health refers to emotional, psychological, and social well-being, influencing how we think, feel, and act. It helps individuals manage stress, build relationships, work productively, and make meaningful contributions. Key aspects include:

1. Emotional regulation: Managing and expressing emotions effectively.
2. Resilience: Bouncing back from challenges and adversity.
3. Coping skills: Using positive strategies to handle stress.
4. Healthy relationships: Building meaningful, supportive connections.
5. Self-awareness: Understanding oneself and growing through experiences.

What Mental Health Is Not

1. Absence of illness: You can lack a mental disorder but still struggle with well-being.
2. Constant happiness: Mental health isn’t about being happy all the time but managing emotions effectively.
3. Toughness: It’s not about suppressing feelings or avoiding help.
4. Fixed state: Mental health fluctuates based on life circumstances.
5. Weakness: Struggling with mental health isn’t a sign of failure but a normal part of life.

In essence, mental health is about balance, resilience, and growth, not perfection or constant positivity.

Be your own self !!! Don’t be someone else 🩵

Remember: It is your journey. It is your ups and downs. It is your experience. The life you are living is just all about you. Then why ask someone else? Why take a decision on what others are saying? Think deep within and connect with your own self for answers. You are what you are. Peace. ✌️
