We ordered: ✨ Mushroom Mandu ✨ WA Rock Lobster Tacos ✨ Hiramasa Kingfish Sashimi ✨ Sichuan Beef Tartare ✨ Roast Duck Breast Fried Rice ✨ Black Angus Rib Eye on the Bone ✨ Bangla dessert platter ✨ and drinks of course Every dish was packed with flavour, but the standouts for us were definitely the WA Rock Lobster Tacos (an absolute must order 😍), the Mushroom Mandu, so crispy and an absolute flavour explosion and the perfectly cooked steaks with an addictive truffle nam Jim sauce. The duck breast fried rice had so much wok hei, it smelt and tasted amazing! The share style menu makes it the perfect spot to visit with family or a group of friends so everyone gets to try a little bit of everything. The last time I was in Perth, I had just thrown my first manuscript in for the Victorian Premier’s Unpublished Manuscript Award. Almost ten years later, I have returned, this time to celebrate the publication of my second book at @beaufortstreetbooks. It was so wonderful to see so many people from my past, and to feel their love even though I had neglected them so poorly for far too long. BTW, it was @j_a_c_i_e’s first time “in conversation” and she absolutely aced it. It was also her birthday. I’d like to think that the chance to wrangle me in conversation was the best present anyone has ever given her, but I’m probably wrong. [Image description: 1. It's true that social media has impacted many people's ability to make real-life connections. However, my experience with IG has been amazing! I have met many amazing foodie friends that I would never have had the opportunity to connect. I have known @the.thyme.is.cumin for almost 3 years now, and we have the best banter online.
