These last 6 months have been the best I could have possibly asked for. I love every moment I get to spend with you and I cannot wait to make more memories together! I cannot express to you the amount of you give me. Thank you for loving me so dearly everyday!
💋XOXO💋-INDIA

MARCH
We had our first date this month. I knew already on our first date that we would work so well together. When you asked to be my boyfriend, everything was so new but you have loved me in a way I have never felt before. We played mini golf this month too and I TOTALLY won! In our first month of dating, you already expressed how much I meant to you and that meant so much to me.

APRIL
This month, I remember we had to wake up before sunrise so we could attend both of our Easter services. Worshiping my Lord along side of you will always be my favorite thing. We also tried baking cupcakes together. That ended well…. even if they weren’t the prettiest. Thank you all the laughter and happiness you give me!

MAY
this month we got all dressed up and went to the rodeo together! Even though I had no clue what was going on, the fact that I was there with you is all I cared about. Because it was raining, of course we had to dance in the headlights of my car. Even though my boots were ruined, it was completely worth such a sweet memory. AND to finish off a perfect night you made it better by getting us ICECREAM!!

JUNE
The amount of trips we took to Dutch Bros in the month of June could probably not be counted on two hands. Also our cute date to Olive Garden was so yummy. I was able to eat pasta with YOU!! My two favorite things in one place!! I love our little dates even if it’s just sitting in the car listening to music while sipping on a coffee.

JULY
This month I was able to tag along side you at the beach baptism. We collected seashells which I love to do. It was really cool to watch other people share their faith so openly. Thank you for leading me closer to the one who is most important. I am so in love with the way you love our Jesus.

AUGUST
I have never been so in love with a person. You truly have shown me when it means to be loved. I thank the Lord everyday for our sweet relationsh

This Sunday looked a little different. It was the first time since Dad passed that @the.carissa.mitchell , @the.zach.mitchell , Bradley, and I got to worship with my mom, and we got to do it at @creola_fbc for their 64th Homecoming service.

My father, @charles.s.mitchell2 , had been invited by the current pastor and was excited about the opportunity. He had already planned out his sermon and was so thankful and appreciative of the church for asking him back for the service. It was a place where God developed a young pastor for a life-long ministry, while using him to reach an entire community.

Dad was honored during the service by both the pastor and the guest speaker, not just for his impact on the church, but also for the impact he had on them and their ministries.

The message was powerful, and there’s no doubt Dad was rejoicing over the continued blessings on the people of Creola.

Team Color Sunday at @pensacolachurch and around here, we’re repping the Noles!

“It’s hard to be humble when you’re a Nole”… or at least that’s what my Papa always told me.

Great start to the school year for Tate CHAPTERS!

Shoutout to Abi Keever for leading a word from Habakkuk and challenging everyone to let God “Remind. Revive. Reveal.” His plan in our lives when we trust Him.

Pastor @austinwatts followed with a strong reminder for these students: every day they walk onto their campus, they’re stepping onto a mission field.

Proud of these students for showing up, leading, and choosing to start their Friday centered on Jesus.

Christ Centered. Student Led. Mission Minded.

God’s peace and comfort can come in many different ways, but this week He has made His presence felt in the life of our family.

It has come through phone calls from Dad’s college roommates and former coworkers, and through every prayer, message, visit and act of love from our family and friends. Then there have been a few moments that felt especially personal.

This past Sunday, Pastor Godfrey was not scheduled to preach at @pensacolachurch , but plans changed at the last minute. The sermon he preached was titled “Hey Preacher,” with Proverbs 3:5-6 as one of the key verses and Ephesians 2:8 as one of the supporting verses.

Those who knew Dad well know that he was usually called “Bro. Charles” or simply “Preacher.” In fact, when he called someone, he would often begin by saying, “Hey, Preacher here.”

Proverbs 3:5-6 were Dad’s favorite verses. They were first passed down from his mom and have now been adopted by our entire family. Ephesians 2:8 was also the memory verse for the last youth trip I went on with Dad.

We sat in that service Sunday and felt a peace that only God could provide.

Then, on Wednesday, Carissa and I led our adult parent small group. We were in the second week of a series, and the Scripture was Ephesians 1:3-14, focusing on our identity in Christ and the blessings we have in Him.

Today, we went to Dad’s office to gather a few things. As I moved a notebook, there was a single sermon outline lying underneath it. The title was “The Blessed ‘Us’ of Ephesus,” based on the same passage we had just studied Wednesday night.

Some may see these things as coincidences, but for our family, they have been reminders.

None of this removes the grief or makes us miss Dad any less. But through His Word, His people and these deeply personal moments, God has continued to remind us that He is close, His promises are true and we can still trust Him with all our hearts.

This week, in ways both big and small, God has continued to remind our family, “I am here.”

Asking for prayers for my family. My father, @charles.s.mitchell2 , passed unexpectedly last night at home.

We will be making arrangements over the next few days and planning for a service that has come too soon.

Extremely thankful for a Savior who is ever-present in times of need and so thankful knowing that in a second he went from this life to being welcomed in heaven.
