You Have Everything. So Why Does It Feel Like Nothing?

On the meaning crisis — what it is, why it's targeting the most successful people you know, and what the neuroscience says about how to move through it. There's a particular kind of emptiness that doesn't make sense on paper. You built the career. You earned the title, the income, the respect. You hit the milestone you spent years working toward — and then you sat in the car afterward, engine off, and thought: is that it? Not because you're ungrateful. Not because you're depressed. Not because something is wrong with you....

Curators of major art biennials @labiennale - including the upcoming Venice Biennale— are encouraging readers to revisit One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel García Márquez not out of nostalgia for a classic, but because its themes unexpectedly and strikingly reflect the condition of the contemporary world.
A special thank you to Marina @alvitr_art for constantly encouraging me to think, read, and reflect

“Art is not a mirror to hold up to society, but a hammer with which to shape it.”

The way you compliment yourself matters more than you think. 🧠

Most of us grew up hearing outcome-based praise:
❌ “You’re so smart.”
❌ “You’re the best.”

But neuroscience shows it’s effort-based compliments that rewire your brain for resilience and self-trust:
✅ “You worked hard on that.”
✅ “I kept going even when it was hard.”

The voice in your head today is built from the compliments you heard as a child.
The good news? You can retrain it.

✨ This is exactly what I unpack in my book Anxious and Ambitious: A 90-Day Confidence Reframe for High Achievers.

Save this if you need the reminder and start giving yourself the compliments you needed growing up.
