Jump in the seat of @snowbird.6 at @duluthairshow on July 6th, 2025, and see the importance of peripheral vision when flying in formation.

Flying as an outer requires an incredible amount of focus, watching the boss, @brenthandy77, to maintain my position. I fine tune my spacing using the inner pilot @the2jet in front of me and the stem pilot @the4jet beside me (flying in the 10 jet) in my peripherals.

Flying a roll and a loop within 6 feet of two aircraft you're not looking directly at takes a lot of practice, as well as a lot of trust in my teammates to keep their positions.

We were thrilled to be invited back to Duluth, MN for the airshow this year, and even more excited that the only thing better than the weather was the welcoming crowds. Thanks to everyone for making us feel at home!

It's hard to believe 3 weeks have flown by so fast and just a week ago, we were standing on Air Force Beach watching red and white Tutor jets.

One more practice day and the Snowbirds will transit back to home base in Moose Jaw where they will finalize show preparations and be show certified for the 2025 season. In 3 weeks, they will do their first official flyover of the season at the Canadian F1 Grand Prix in Montreal and, in just 4 weeks their first Airshow for 2025.

We truly wish this fantastic group of people a great 2025 season and we are already looking forward to our next sighting in July at the Boundary Bay Airshow and the team's return to Vancouver.

Come fly with me and learn how to fly our opening loop sequence as an Outer in 60 seconds.

Maple change Big Arrow loop to Big Arrow Clover down.

Flying as an outer requires laser focus, but also the ability to see multiple things at once.
