Come body paint with me for the VERY FIRST TIME🤯

I think I did a pretty good job if I do say so myself! I’ve always had a love for the arts, and I paint. So merging my love for beauty and art was so cool and refreshing.

I did this shoot in the last quarter of 2025. The project was to bring awareness to all of the trees being cut down by interstate exits. With all that’s been taking place in today’s society, this was the reminder I needed to remember, we need room to grow, and that instead of putting each other down, we must water our community so that we can do just that. GROW🌱

Want to know to make brown eyes pop with a twist? My number one tip is…. 🗣️get the blue liner or mascara sis! And if you’re really feeling spicy, GET BOTH!

@anayatheecoartist loved it and got many compliments after🤏🏽🙂‍↕️

When it comes to makeup don’t be afraid to be BOLD💙

The Hotlanta Roots: ART of Storytelling screening event was no ordinary film screening, it was an immersive experience rooted in community, conversation, and connection… all our favorite things. 🥰

In addition to screening Granny’s Daughters, we also created a cozy “living room” space to screen She Remembers, our most recent Silver Bangles Productions film. 🎬

Shot on Sapelo Island during the first annual Sacred Woman Storytellers Retreat, She Remembers follows six women — daughters, wives, mothers, sisters, and caretakers — as they reflect on their transitions from girlhood to womanhood. Through stillness, storytelling, and sisterhood, they begin the sacred work of reclaiming the parts of themselves that have long been silenced or forgotten.

While small groups of eight rotated to watch the documentary, other guests participated in our interactive activities — the Memory Wall and Community Quilt. The Memory Wall became a living canvas of post-it notes filled with lessons, phrases, and memories from grandmothers, mothers, and other matriarchal figures. The quilting station invited guests to add fabric squares to our growing community quilt, weaving their stories (literally) into the fabric of the experience.

To close the day, we gathered for a community story salon where I was joined by curator @k_medulla and moderator @auntea_chi for a conversation about the film’s significance and my creative intentions behind it.

So when we say immersive screening experience… that’s exactly what it gave! ✨

THANK YOU TO ALL THE BEAUTIFUL BEINGS WHO MADE THIS DAY MAGICAL ❤️❤️❤️
