We spent an evening in Carlsbad raising awareness and funds for our mission to expand personal finance & economic education in California.

Conversing with colleagues from all sectors, hearing from students who have been inspired and impacted by our programs, and listening to personal stories of what connects people to this mission was a great reminder of why we do what we do.

On Sunday, we gathered to celebrate the life of Dr. Edith Eger, in person and from around the world. We laughed, we cried, and we remembered a woman who taught millions that we always have a choice.

To everyone who came, watched, wrote a card, shared a story, or simply held Edie in your heart: thank you. To Oprah Winfrey, and to everyone who spoke, sang, and helped bring the day to life: thank you.

Edie didn’t want to be mourned. She wanted her teaching to keep living in us. On Sunday, it did.
