Our fall sports pep rally this morning was SO MUCH FUN! 🍂

Our Crusaders kicked us off with a friendly upper vs. underclassmen competition (equipped with brooms). 🧹

The Crusader Drumline treated us to a special performance, and the Cheer Team’s routine was on point. 👏

Elevating the excitement were future Crusaders who joined us both for our pep rally and a School Day Tour afterward (register for a tour at brothermartin.com/inquire).

We wrapped the pep rally with a “make a mummy challenge,” and one of our future Crusaders WON! 🎉

🚨 RUN, DON’T WALK!

Registration for Brother Martin’s 2026 Cheer Clinic is LIVE! On October 22, participants will learn a routine from our National Championship Cheer Team and then perform that routine on Friday, October 23 during half-time of our football game against St. Augustine.

Girls and boys from age 5 to 7th grade are invited to participate in this cheer clinic. Spots for this incredible experience fill up quickly, so please register ASAP at brothermartin.com

2 nights ago, I completed the tumbling pass I did when I was in high school.

18 years ago, was the last time I threw this tumbling pass at @the_bm_cheer.

21 years ago, I didn’t even know these flips had names, much less the thought of me being a cheerleader.

33 years ago, I did my first “flip” on my parents couch and begin my journey of creating holes in it.

The ones who told me, “life goes by quick”… I understand it now.

It didn’t seem like it at 18 because my problems were if I was going to have enough gas money to get around during the weekend or if I was going to be going to summer school or not.

Different “problems”, now.

For the ones who told me, “you’ll feel THAT when you get older”, I’m sorry for being stubborn and not understanding what that meant.

Now, I understand it.

Nonetheless, I loved every part of the process. I failed more than I won. But I learned so much because of those fails.

It’s been a great “tumbling pass of a life” and there’s still more to come. More fails. But more wins. Still learning. Still improving.

Best part about it, @brothermartinfootball beat Jesuit. 🛡️

Big thanks to everyone who came out to our first Crusader Band tailgate of the season on Friday! We had a huge assist from our band parents to make this happen, with special thanks to Jennifer Ng, Corine Tran, and Susie Vollenweider.

We’re just getting started; we’ll be back at your usual spot Friday along Marconi Drive for our big Homecoming game with Jesuit High. Tailgate starts around 4 p.m. so the boys can get fed soon enough to make 5 p.m. call time. Come join us!
