The people were peopling this weekend. The weather was optimal autumnal perfection, and we all were in much need of a break from the on-sloth of rain we’ve had. It was wonderful seeing the vendors and artisans thriving.
For our home Apple Fest weekend means a weekend of sharing apple treats.
@dalysdonuts Caramel Apple Donut & Cinnamon Sugar Dunkers
@mickklugfarms Apple Cider
@affytapple Made our own caramel apple with peanuts
@the_chopping_block Apple Pie (ofc)
📍Ricochet’s Tavern: Hard Cider
Something for each of us. Poodle & I designed hats @statefarm
And I got new glitter Apple decor thanks to @rainforestlearningcenter
Grown girlies like glitter too!
Archie enjoyed running around thanks to @urbanpooch

My favorite weekend in my neighborhood. Apparently, our quaint little neighborhood Apple Fest went viral. Did get to my favorites this past weekend, @the_chopping_block apple pie always hits the spot!

I don’t have many pics from AppleFest- because I was busy having a great weekend talking to all of you that came out to support all of us small businesses and artists !!! Thanks so much to all who came in to buy and print or shirt or stickers- and thanks to all who grabbed a card and engaged in the fine art of conversation with fellow humans. It was a wonderful and yes, at times very cozy fest, especially on record breaking attendance Saturday! Folks , that’s one of the reasons we’re lucky to live in such a great city filled with so many incredible, creative and diverse people! If it gets crowded at a popular event, just be patient and be thankful that so many cool people want to come out to be outside and enjoy each other‘s company. Thanks so much to the @lsrcc_chicago , who worked so incredibly hard to put on this event!!!

A dozen years ago today Leann said three little words for the first time after we saw @lakestreetdive.

Tonight we celebrated that momentous day and magic moment with a cooking class we won at @the_chopping_block. Leann is my forever partner in the kitchen and every other type of room. I’m lucky to have her in my life.
