Looking for indoors SEN activities over half-term?

Scrap Sculptures with Scribbledeedo®: Halloween Edition is a creative drop-in session where you transform everyday scraps and repurposed stickers into imaginative wearable sculptures.

🎃 WHEN: Wednesday 28 October 2026 14:00 17:00
🎃 WHERE: Bradford Arts Centre, St Peter’s House, 1 Forster Ct, Church Bank, Bradford BD1 4TY
🎃HOW: Drop In - just turn up no need to book!
🎃COST Pay if you feel - proceeds donated to @principletrustcc
🎃AGE 5+ All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Experiment with colour, shape, texture and pattern to create their own weird, wonderful or spooky Halloween hat.

Using stickers, scraps and other repurposed materials - you can make towering shapes, strange creatures, twisting forms or something completely unexpected.

Create your own individual sculpture or work together on a team creation. There is no set design and no pressure to make something “perfect.”

Follow your imagination, explore the materials and discover what forgotten scraps can become when we look at them differently.

Visitors can join at any point and spend as much or as little time creating as they choose. Suitable for ages 5+. Children must remain supervised by an accompanying adult throughout the activity and adults are warmly encouraged to get involved and create too.

A fun, hands-on celebration of imagination, playful experimentation and reusing materials.

Please contact us in advance to discuss any access needs or reasonable adjustments.

Love is the medicine.

Not just for parenting.
For every relationship that matters.

It’s what repairs.
What regulates.
What brings us home to each other - over and over again.

Thanks to the incredible work of Dr. C. Sue Carter and the @polyvagalinstitute we’re reminded that this isn’t just poetic language - it’s backed by science.
Oxytocin. Safety. Presence.

That’s the true medicine.
This Easter, as we reflect on healing, renewal, and connection, may we remember:

🕊️ Love doesn’t have to be perfect.
It just has to be steady.

So whether you’re holding space for a child, a partner, a friend - or yourself -
Showing up with love is never wasted.

💌 Thank you to @polyvagalinstitute for inspiring this post and for continuing to bring the science of safety into the everyday.

Follow @gladwetalked for tools to love and communicate in ways that heal.

Years ago, to support him - I went with my previous partner to a rehab place in the States called “The Family” in #Sunrise, #FortLauderdale.

We were young and honestly thought,

“Huh… what a weird name for rehab.
What’s that got to do with anything?”

Turns out …
quite a lot actually. ♥️
