We interrupt our countdown of 2025 to bring you this #Gigstagram from… THE FUTURE 😵‍💫 Thanks to Edinburgh’s @firstfootin I’m already off to a blistering #2026Gigs pace with a whopping FOUR in one day… we could either call it one as one event, or five as i moved between five shows, but I’m calling it four as it was four individual venues and it’s my list so 😝 #Gig01 at @stgilescathedral started with @rachelsermanni (missed you, lovely!) who sounded joyous on her own and with @tinderbox.orchestra … then the best witch @kathrynjoseph_ (see you at @celtic_connections 🥰) who also joined with Tinderbox … then Tinderbox rocking on their own! In the middle, I took a wander over to @eveedinburgh for… #Gig02 @theobleak who was fab as ever even though recovering from the lurgy 😷 Next was a flying stop at @copper_blossom for #Gig03 and @alicefayemusic a late and very welcome addition - sorry I couldn’t stay longer but again Celtic Connections awaits! Finally was #Gig04 and my fave #FolkOgre @pictishtrail at @coldtownhouse ably supported by DJ @okitsaimee from @goodvibesleith … damn that Pictish is always fantastic, here both acoustic and electronic, then joined by @obanfiddle, then climbing shit 🧗🏻 If you haven’t seen him, why the hell not, and yes CELTIC CONNECTIONS!! I can hardly believe all of this (and more!) was in one city, on one day, and all free. Hurrah for First Footin!
