Anton-Scharff-Gasse at The Dessous , Vienna 2021 Before the building was demolished, I had the chance to use the space temporarily through The Dessous — Great artist friends of mine that had occupied it for a while. The room had once served as an art school, probably the dream of many children, and now it stood empty, waiting for its last transformation. I found myself surrounded by rows of red and black spray cans and just started the process… Over several hours, stretching into the night, I sprayed hundreds of lines across the room — from floor to ceiling, wall to wall. It was like drawing a giant, irregular grid that ignored the room’s structure and boundaries. Switching between red and black, I let the lines bend and cross freely, allowing the space to dissolve into a dense field of movement and color. The air grew heavy with paint fumes. Even though I was fully protected, I could feel the intensity of the situation — and at some point, the neighbors started to notice, too. Still, I kept going, moving through the space in a kind of rhythm until the entire room transformed. This work is about process — about breaking up given structures and reshaping them through action. And maybe, in the spirit of Pippi Longstocking, it’s also about making the world the way we like it. A children’s book can change how we see things. #installationart #vienna #sprayart #processart #contemporaryart #pippilongstocking #artistlife #thedesous

The Installation Dream and Time was first shown at a Off Space @the_dessous in a Factory in Vienna in the year 2023. It consisted of 13 Egg Shaped Balloons that are positioned on a seemingly levitating Staircase. Visually the Installation reminds of a old-school Computer game. The Staircase was directed to a a Factory Clock. It was a Metaphorical Play around the Perception of Time in a Dream and the Symbolism of the Egg as beginning of Life in the Juxtaposition to the Industrial and Technological world. I had several other Projects before and after this show working with oversize eggs and playing with the idea of putting them in Public or semi public space. For me they function as a tool of absurd Sculptural intervention. #Egg #dreaming #contemporaryartcollectors #installtionart #artinpublicspace #sculpture #viennnaunderground #traum

2021 during @inbetween_project, which #raphaelarössler and me curated and planed, I exhibited “come play with us“ a performance I did in Bordrum, Turkey, 2019, with a colleague who doesn’t want to be mentioned🔗, about play and the global housing market. At @the_dessous during inbetween I showed the videodocumentation and installation.
