Show date is set: June 5th, 8:00PM EDT | 5:00PM PDT 🍻 Rehearsals begin in EARNEST tomorrow, but here's a quick screenshot we grabbed from our first cast meeting! There was so much laughter we had to be sure to mute ourselves when it wasn't our scene! . . . #theater #theatre #livetheater #shenanigans #drinkinggames #theimportanceofbeingearnest #oscarwilde #importanceofbeingearnest #pickyourpoison #PickYourPoisonProductions #comedy #playreading #stagedreading #actor #actors #actorlife #performinginquarantine

Y'all, I honestly can't stop being hyped about doing this show. I am so happy that so many theatrical folk I like and respect have agreed to do this with us. We settled on a date earlier today and first rehearsals are this weekend. It's going to be so fun not just to perform, but to watch. I couldn't stop laughing during the first read throughs and we weren't even playing the game yet... well, not really. 9 water bottles sloshing in sync was hilarious though.🤣 . . . Ariel De Ment as Gwendolen, James Freer as Jack, Trevor Martin as Algernon, Dani Carr as Cecily, Dani Burke as Lady Bracknell, Sarah Durnesque as Miss Prism, Dylan Collins as Canon Chasuble, Jake Daily as Merriman, Adam Plant as Lane, and Anthony Hansen as cast swing. 🖤 #doingtheactorthing #producer #creative #theater #theatre #stayathome #theaterinquarantine #livetheater #livestreamed #livestreamedtheater #oscarwilde #theimportanceofbeingearnest #importanceofbeingearnest #pypp #pickyourpoison #PickYourPoisonProductions #drinking #drinkinggames

Our cast and your new drinking companions! Our first cast meeting and read-through was earlier this week and it was such a delight to hear and see everyone step into their parts for the first time. We'll be rehearsing over the next few weeks (at least the performance part!) and will be sharing some of that here as we go along. We'll also be doing cast features and maybe even sharing some of our favorite drinks! So stick around! 🍻 Ariel de Ment as Gwendolen | James Freer as Jack | Trevor Martin as Algernon | Dani Carr as Cecily | Dani Burke as Lady Bracknell | Sarah Durnesque as Miss Prism | Dylan Collins as Canon Chasuble | Jake Daily as Merriman | Adam Plant as Lane | Anthony Hansen as cast swing. #theater #theatre #stayathome #theaterinquarantine #livetheater #livestreamed #livestreamedtheater #oscarwilde #theimportanceofbeingearnest #importanceofbeingearnest #pypp #pickyourpoison #PickYourPoisonProductions #drinking #drinkinggames

COMING SOON! Our first production will be a live-streamed staged reading of "The Importance of Being Earnest" as a DRINKING GAME! The only rule: drink (or otherwise engage in your chosen indulgence or punishment) whenever someone says "Earnest" or "Ernest"! This show promises to be a rollicking good time for audience and actors alike as the cast will be playing the game too! 🍻 Final date: TBD - cast announcement coming tomorrow! Follow @pickyourpoisonproductions and find us elsewhere on the net to keep posted about this event and future productions! . . . . . #drinkinggames #quarantine #stayhome #theatre #stayhometheatre #importanceofbeingearnest #pickyourpoison #theatrelife

Had so much fun teaching the second workshop in our series "My Voice is in my Sword: Shakespeare as Fight Director" with this lovely group of humans! Today was Romeo and Juliet day! I love how I always seem to learn so much as a teacher... So grateful to these students and to @sfshakes for giving me the space to explore these famous fights. In two weeks we will be playing with Shakespearean mass battles while using Macbeth as our guide. Join us for more fun! . . . #stagecombat #theatre #actorslife #shakespeare #classyaf #fighters #swordfriendsarethebestfriends

Congrats to my girl @xle and her cast a successful closing night of Dance Nation! Y’all were freakin fantastic as 13 year old dance competitors. The line “my pussy is as beautiful as my face” has become my new mantra. 😂 I think Kat would agree! 🤣
