Let’s Gather & Sip is one of my favorite ways to spend a Friday night, and this Friday I get to bring astrology into it.

How Your Chart Talks is a Venus retrograde evening on love, relationships, and how we communicate them. It’s interactive, so you won’t just be listening to me talk. You’ll be working with your own chart, sharing what you find, and hearing what comes up for other people too. Some of you will meet someone new, and some of you will catch up with someone you met at a past gathering. Either way, I’d love for you to come be in community with us.

You don’t need to know anything about astrology. Bring your Venus sign if you know it, or bring your birth chart and I’ll help you find it.

Friday, October 16, 6 to 8pm | $33
Sips Global Teas,
2215 S Shore Ctr,
Ste B, Alameda

And yes, the tea really is that good.

Grab your seat through the link in my bio.

A few places you can find me this fall.

I keep saying yes to spaces where people get to be honest about where they are, and these are some of my favorites.

First up is next Friday, October 16. Venus is retrograde, and I’m hosting How Your Chart Talks at Let’s Gather and Sip. We’ll look at what your Venus sign says about how you love, what you need from the people close to you, and how you communicate it all. You don’t need to know anything about astrology. If you don’t know your Venus sign, bring your birth chart and I’ll help you find it.

Then on November 10, Say the Thing is back for anyone carrying a conversation they keep putting off. And on November 13, The In-Between at Let’s Gather & Sip is for the season between what was and what’s next.

Swipe through, see which one is calling you, and grab your spot through the link in my bio. Seats are limited for all three, and I’d love to see you there.

Today wasn’t my easiest day, and I didn’t disappear because of it.

Here’s what I’m noticing:

A good day doesn’t always feel like an easy day.

Sometimes a good day is simply a day where you move through the hard moments, receive the good ones, and keep going.

Today had some heavy moments. My energy was a little lower. Things didn’t all go the way I had hoped.

But now, here at the end of my day, I can look back and realize…

It was still a good day.

There is more to appreciate than not.

More good than hard.

And all in all, I showed up.

This video popped up in my memories today. Me, singing my heart out at karaoke a little over a year ago.

And maybe that’s part of the reminder, too.

There are so many versions of me I get to meet along the way.

The one who sings.
The one who struggles.
The one who laughs.
The one who gets tired.
The one who keeps going.

Not because I have to.

Because I want to.

Because I get to.

I get to keep showing up.

I get to keep making choices.

I get to notice.

I get to be.

So. Here. I. Am.

We are still sitting in immense gratitude for our 3rd annual Community Health Day at Strawberry Creek Park. 🌹

Thank you to everyone who came to receive healing, care, and connection. 🫂

To every practitioner, bodyworker, vendor, and resource booth — you made this day possible. Your medicine is felt and so needed. 🙏🏽

To our staff and volunteers who kept everything flowing behind the scenes: we see you and we thank you deeply. 💙

Access to full spectrum care isn’t easy, but when we come together like this, we remember what’s possible. ✨

Everyone who isn’t tagged above is tagged below. Special thanks to our vendors who aren’t on Instagram: Embedded Roots, Thea Wellness & Acupuncture, Rise to New Heights, Oleum Botanicals, and Shakewell Herbalism!

How often are we physically present… but mentally somewhere else?

I’ve been thinking about what it really means to be here. Not perfectly, but intentionally.
On September 18th, Let's Gather and Sip to slow down, get curious, connect, and explore the practice of presence through conversation, creativity, movement, and reflection.

Hard conversations, soft landings.

Friendship, boundaries, and saying the thing, without burning it all down.

What if you could say the hard thing and keep the relationship? In this week’s Ducking Realitea, Karen and Leia share how hallway chats, sobriety, and life coach training turned into community spaces like Let’s Gather and Sip and the Say the Thing workshop. We get into friendship rings, “nice vs. kind,” astrology, and why our wounds are always trying to be right. If you’ve been swallowing your truth or searching for your people, this episode will feel like a deep exhale.

Share this episode with a friend who’s been struggling to “say the thing” or find their people.

Join the community: hop on Leia’s Behind the Hustle newsletter or Momentum Mondays for gentle accountability and connection.

Check out Karen’s offerings: attend a Let’s Gather and Sip night or explore Reiki training at The Funky Truth Healing.
