And when my body rots I hope the soil tastes the imprint of you on its tongue. I hope it weeps at the taste of it. What a foul thing, to be so disgusted by what touches one’s mouth and yet crave it so. To eat until sick, until the memories are pushed out and down the drain, left to flood the pipes and make their way into a new form of existence

Green Light short film and song is now live!!
Link in bio 💚💚💚

A year ago Green Light was merely an idea sprawled across many upset diary entries and aggressive voice notes. Today it not only takes shape as a fully developed short film but a song too (produced by @austingarcia___ ).

What felt like a film to day dream about in my spare time somehow made its way into reality. This wouldn’t have been possible without @calebfilmed taking on this project as the co-director and the amazing group of friends who became the crew.

This is the quickest turnaround we’ve ever had for a film and that considering it came out pretty damn good.

Pre-production consisted of late night shot-listing in closing cafes, crowded library discussions and a lot of she’ll be rights.

‘Green Light’ has been a living and breathing idea from its very conception. Almost like a self fulfilling prophecy, its content consumed my life throughout both pre and post production. It’s story evolved and shifted as it’s real life plot continued to unfold in my own life.

But that’s the beautiful thing about filmmaking. Releasing this felt like something that had to be done. As if putting it into the world would somehow signal the end of a yearlong grieving period.

And in a strange way it has. While it stands alone as a film, Green Light is proof that art is transformative. It’s a hell of a way to process heartbreak, but it works.

From an onlookers perspective it may seem like my friends and I were simply making a film. But they were helping me with a lot more.

So I’d like to once again thank this crew and my friends for making this come to life; as well as putting up with my crazy for so long.

Go follow these guys, they’re the coolest:

Earlier this year we had the pleasure to make a short film for the lovely Thornbury store @sonicsgallerymelb. The owner Fab is an absolute GOAT and has put such thought and effort into curating a space for local artists to gather and display their creations. Thornbury will miss this lovely hotspot for local art but we are excited to see Sonics move into its new chapter. Go checkout their awesome online space and show it some love.
