Why working in your mindset is important

Barriers no longer make me say no or focus on what I can’t do. My change in mindset gave me a change in perspective which has given me a change in outcomes.

There is something about feeling the sun on me!

Even right know in England I’m loving the feeling of knowing it’s not cold. Two days marked two special moments one the first time I went to National Stadium - this is Jamaicas biggest arena for track and the memorial for my Gran and Grandad on my mother’s side.

I’ve never gone usually when it’s held due to not really having the time for the dramas and negative energy with some family even worse the pretence that things are better than they actually are. But this trip I know meant a lot to my mother and she actually told me that for the first time and back it by action. That action is between us but thank you mummy 😃

Seeing my uncle who I don’t get to see often which I’ve always had a complex feeling like I was borrowing someone else’s family. This kept me feeling isolated but the embrace he gave me I know there was no borrowing there!

See you soon sweet sweet Jamaica.

It’s not always been easy but it’s still a blessing.

There is always more to what you see!

Some will see this picture that is taken, but there is a background, an experience that led to me getting a stoma, a recovery journey that was filled with knowledge I gain 8 years prior, there’s the team that planned this day, a stoma organisation that wants to build much more than products, there’s people who have intersected with my journey because of their own journey and I could go on.

The point is there is more to what you see so stop making claims because of what you see and focus on one thing being the best version of yourself. Work on you? Don’t settle but push to be the version you want. Don’t push excessively get to know you so well that you know what and when you need something.
Learn and adopt tools that support you navigating the journey we call life.

Improvement > implementation. @gemzwithabag

Changes in awareness. And performance isn’t just about outcomes it’s about the how and the factors surrounding it.

Keynote topics
-
The missing piece - why coaching a mentoring is an undervalued tool for performance outcomes?

Why mastery and why you? - connecting individuals to the reason why they do what they do but equally importance about looking after themselves..

Redefining performance - performance isn’t just about the outcome how matters. Impact and influence needs responsibility.

Sometimes I look how far I’ve come and what has happened along the way. Nothing was a regret, and I’ve never wished I didn’t have my stoma without this operation I would not be here.

Let’s keep winning

I just want to enjoy what I do and how I do ☺️

Little by little I am working on the mind, body and life I desire. It’s okay to not be there yet but it’s move a little if you can’t move like a bullet.

Just move

Yesterday - wow what a great day.

What @zoe.saltsadvocates and the team planned was the best yet.

To say that something was ignited is an understatement. I truly believe that to take care of your well-being is to work on the mental side of your development but to work on the mental side is combining psychological emotional psychosocial with the themes of physical and sleep. These are the pillars of @saltshealthcare.

The truth of it is we often don’t work on areas because we don’t know what we don’t know and to be able to share and hopefully plant some seeds like some lightbulbs was truly an honour.

Hearing from other amazing individuals who had an amazing inspiring story it’s not about how it was delivered people get lost in that is what was delivered and what was delivered was real progressive with answers in particular acceptance. Just amazing I’ve met some amazing individuals in the last two years. I don’t say it lightly.

My hope and desires that everybody realises how amazing they are what they truly want in life and connect to that not what was but what will be.

Awareness, challenging your mind and knowing it’s ok to feel all emotions but what to do with those emotions does matter. The morning ms look different but they did before that when I made a change 8 years before. I made an internal promise to myself.

I said I was going to make a decision that I would now be okay with making decisions going forward. The reason for this was because I learnt that even when you don’t make a decision you’ve made a decision. So that changed me and I decided I would make intentional decisions ones not based from fear, running away or aggression.
