We adore this hilarious short film created for our Oscars Short Film Project 2026! 🎥🎬

Our very funny Minis, aged 3 to 6, get to star in their own movie, which we create in class and screen on the big screen every summer term 🍿

After so much hard work, seeing our students and their friends and families come together to enjoy the films is such a special moment. Our favourite event of the year! 🥰

‘Dodge This’ was written and directed by Elle Davies and edited by Giorgia Valentino.

Enjoy this little snippet and the laughs our brilliant Minis bring! 😂🎬

🎬 SELF-TAPE CHALLENGE 2026 🎬

Another year, another incredible Self-Tape Challenge at Here for The Drama Academy 👏

Over the Easter holidays, our Minis, Juniors & Pros took on casting briefs from across TV & film — all from home — developing their self-taping, script analysis and character work skills along the way with support and feedback from HFTD directors @josh_ely__ & @milly_zero 💜🎭

This challenge is all about helping young actors build confidence self-taping independently at home, just like they would for real auditions 🎥

The effort this year was unreal and we’re so proud of every single student who took part.

And the best part? We get to do it all again in 2027 👀

Here are just a few highlights from this year’s challenge…
