James 1:19 says
“My dear brothers and sisters, you must all be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry,”

So why do we find it difficult to follow this crucial directive in our marriages? In this episode, we look at the various obstacles that prevent us from listening to each other and how we can improve our ability to do so as we pursue this marriage life together.

The episode is live now on our YT channel, Apple Podcasts and Spotify. 🔗 in bio.

What fruit do you think you’re called to bear in this season?

“I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples.”

Coming up this week, we discuss the impact of a work transition and the journey of forgiveness.

Our emotions and feelings should never take precedence over God’s commandment to forgive.
Forgiveness is not instantaneous; it is a process.

Experiencing offense is an inevitable part of life, as people will always be people. We must learn to forgive, as forgiveness serves us more than it does the individual who has wronged us.

📣 WE COME BACK… lol yes, yet again!

We’ve been running, procrastinating, disobedient… but we’ve come to the end of ourselves and so here we are doing it afraid. 😮‍💨🙈🤧

On the first episode, we discuss the lessons we’ve been learning in our marriage, emphasising that it is not a walk in the park. To cultivate a thriving marriage, requires intentionality.

Marriage will mold you into the person God intends for you to be, and it often requires stepping out of your comfort zone. Be ready to put in the work, all it requires is 2 willing vessels surrendered to Abba.

Join us, journey with us. The episode goes live tomorrow at 5pm on our YT channel. 🔗 in bio.

Healthy black families do exist. 🖤

Are we perfect? No.
Do we have all the money in the world? No.
Is it always rosey? Absolutely not.

We have each other, we love each other and even on the bad days we choose each other.
