First time making a whole outfit from one panel of my sculpture “blessed are those who inhabit a body”, 2022, where I painted the Hail Mary prayer repeatedly on unprimed canvas…. fragments of the prayer are collaged in the entire outfit with additional hand painted tramp stamp and studded spikes used as subtle armor <3 this work has transformed into something I never imagined it could be… and there’s still so much material left :))))))

The show it was created for was a celebration of sapphic representation and love, thank you @the_party_pixie_x for creating such an incredible event ♥️

I’ve included the tiniest peek at my process with the references Xander sent me to work with.
Working with text lately, especially getting to create my own hand lettering, has been having me reflect a lot about the lessons I learned from @loweredvalues and @saucyunicorn during my time in graphic design school nearly a decade ago— a little bit about design & a lot about being myself. I always wanted to send yall little letters of appreciation but never mustered the brain cells to make it happen LOL hopefully it’s not too late. Miss you both, thank you for being so influential during my young adulthood💗
