🍻🏳️‍🌈 QUEER SERVICE INDUSTRY NIGHT IS TONIGHT!!! 🏳️‍🌈🍻 Here are the specials that @the_potion_pixie_x (me) has created for this special occasion. Beer + shot combos of COURSE, and a fun shooter that apparently tastes like Hot Pot (Franki’s opinion, not mine). Come to @butterfly_bar_atx to meet the other queers that run the city and make it the fun and lively place we all love. We have the lovely @kushkittyllc vending for all you stoney bartenders! We will also have @djkshal playing in the late night for a little indoor dance party and @watermelonfilmclub will be in the garden set up before our event with many fun things!! They will have an olive oil tasting, open mic, silent auction, etc etc from 6-9 in the garden. This is a fundraiser for a solidarity delegation going to Palestine, so if you can, I implore you to spend your evening with us at The Butterfly Bar for night of community fun and care 🫶🏼 See yall tonight! 🌽🦬 FEAST FOR ALL: Native American Culinary Arts – Community Cooking 🦬🌽 Native American Cultural Center and STEMSign (STEMS) are filled with gratitude as we reflect on this beautiful gathering. Together, we celebrated community through food, Traditional Native American Knowledge, storytelling, and STEM Education. Kelly Savedra shared Choctaw Banaha, while Chef Gab prepared Braised Bison Brisket with Juniper Berries and facilitated homemade Blue Corn Chips. Participants also created corn bead crafts and corn husk dolls while learning about buffalo stewardship, food sovereignty, and Native foodways. We were honored to welcome Lucille Contreras of Texas Tribal Buffalo Project as our Honored Guest Speaker. Her reflections invited deeper thought, connection, and appreciation for buffalo stewardship. One of most meaningful moments was gathering around the table to share food, stories, laughter, and gratitude. Special thanks to ASL4SJ for providing ASL interpreters and to Sustainable Food Center for welcoming us into their Teaching Kitchen and Community Room, helping make this gathering possible. Gratitude to the buffalo, the plants we have nurtured, the land, our partners, volunteers, and everyone who shared their time, knowledge, and hearts with this community. ✨🌱 "Grow Where We Are Planted." 🌱✨ #FeastForAll #NativeAmericanCulinaryArts #FoodSovereignty #GrowWhereWeArePlanted #CommunityCooking Photos/Videos Credits to: Fabian Villa-EssentialsCreative Skye Howell Michael Serrato Victor Arellano Sr Aly Tharp Ashley Elliott

There was so much to appreciate at Sipping Sapphic: Slutty Fae Edition. Hosted by @the_party_pixie_x at @vortex_rep last night, this event really brought out the most beautiful, creative, joyful, Femme/Femme presenting Faerie Folk in Austin! From burlesque to tarot reading to spoken word to arm wrestling to a double DJ game party, Sipping Sapphic truly had it all! The highlight of the evening for me (other than every single interaction with @millieux, which is always my favorite part of an event) was receiving a personalized, original poem by local legend @ms.trinitee. It's autographed and everything! Living in Austin is challenging, at times, but the creativity and revelry that exist here make it all worthwhile...especially in June!
