My goodness she makes some good… goodies. She’s got a thing… it’s like a… It’s like a, uhhh—cookies. Shortbread, chocolate icing between—very… it’s good. Ahh, it’s very good. Speaking of good, thanks @tom.branstetter for the incredible artwork and animation. Means a lot to be collaborating on this project again :’)

It’s never quite convenient to get out to the coast—yet, even when the waves are flat, as they were today, I’ve never felt anything but gratitude on the drive home.

These are a love letter to every trip out there and the friends I’ve shared them with: Every early morning wake up call, every car catch-up with a pal, every shared celebration, every collective lament, every contemplative beach walk, every first wave, every start of a friendship, every cheese and bean quesadilla (Franklin), every shared snack, shared playlist and shared heart — and every mad dash to make the last ferry home.

As the years roll on, these WA coast surf trips and all the memories they hold are the gift that keeps on giving.

@sarahshooksdisarmers finished up their final tour in the PNW last week (River Shook will be launching a new project under their own name soon!), and Seattle packed the @tractortavern as always to show their love. @the_rainstation kicked the night off with gorgeous harmonies, then River and co. lit up the room with songs from all over the Disarmers discog, the whole house singing along--they even previewed a couple new songs!
