Not my day… but I DID THAT !! 🥇⭐️
Lots of tears later but here I am :)) Interesting day to say the least [strava caption says it all]

@gunrunsa - number three in the bag !!
What a hard pill to swallow. JOH. 💊💊💊

Missed my goal by 6+min but still shaved 4min off from last year 🎯 Not the race I wanted (or trained for) at all, but the race I needed to put it all into perspective :)

⭐️ THE RUN ⭐️
Pacing felt great for the first half ⚡️ [ thanks to my @runna plan ;) code NIKA for two weeks free #adbreak LOL ]

I was FLYING and on track with my pacing plan. Obviously the hill is killer, but then we got to Saunders. I hit the metaphorical wall, and that’s when it became about just getting to the finish line (and not letting anyone see my little tears rolling down my cheeks hahahaha embarrassing - i know ) Called it quits on chasing a time and focused on crossing that line with a smile (well ….. almost).

In the end, it’s not all about PB’s - community is everything. And WOW!! The cheers you get, the smiles, the strangers who yell your name along the route, seeing your friends… I actually can’t put it into words. I am so grateful!!!!

LASTLY !!
Thanks for all the kind messages and DM’s

Next year I will be back with a vengeance :) and hopefully in a more practical running fit #iykyk

Bye <3

📢📢📢 Announcement !!!
Pinch me moment | I’m officially partnering with one of my absolute favourite brands in the world 😝😝😝 WHAT?!

Drumroll please… I’m now a @runna ambassador !!!!!!

I’ve been using the app for over a year 🥇 it’s seen me through my first marathon, a bunch of half marathons and even a shiny new 10km PB this year. (I’m also using it to train for both of my upcoming marathons and also Gun Run Half)

SO !!! You can trust me when I say… it works 🤌 If you’ve been thinking about starting your own Runna journey, here’s your sign. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Use my code: NIKA

[ this is such a dream come true and I’m so excited for the journey ahead ] WOOHOO !!! Hehe !!!
