Brenton Wood’s music has been part of the soundtrack of my life. He would have been 85 years old today 🕊️ Sadly photos of when we met have been lost in the archives of the internet (MySpace & Photobucket) but I will always cherish the memories of his loving encouragement and kindness. Seeing him perform countless times, I was always grateful to be in the moment and not feel urgency to record it all. Him wearing his Yellow Suit and singing “Baby You Got It” & “Oogum Boogum” to me in my royal blue dress, I was a mere 18, by far my most cherished moment shared. There’s something so special about having those moments in my memory bank 🧠 ✨🥹 Video clip 1 rehearsal & clip 2 performance in September of 2023 performances with; 🎹 Uncle Ernie of @the_silvertones_la 🎷 Carlos B @chuckbaribones (countless bands) 🎻 Josh K @josh_playsjazz “ “ 🎸 Andrew R founder of @tierramadreofficial 🥁 Chuy also former member of “ I was so upset that the “event coordinator” stole my art and I was left unpaid for my performance. I paid my band though, regardless. I forgive you girl; but you still owe me, “pay me what you owe me” 😒😂 #losangeles #brentonwood #independentartist #oldies

Some nights just stay with you. ❤️ Getting to sing with @The_Silvertones_LA is always a good time, but having Nutty Brown on the keys made this one extra special. 🎹✨ I caught myself smiling the whole night. Moments like these remind me why I love making music and sharing it with all of you. Hope you enjoy this little piece of the night as much as I did. ❤️ #Michellelopezsinger #TheeSilvertones #50smusic #jumpblues #r&b

Michelle Lopez & Thee Silvertones Band bring the energy, nostalgia, and soul of Southern California to every stage. As a proud local Whittier artist, I'd love the opportunity to perform for our community at City of Whittier events. Our show is a crowd-pleasing blend of Rockabilly, Latin Soul, Boleros, Blues, and Classic Oldies that gets audiences of all ages singing, dancing, and making memories together. We perform at: Community & City Events Car Shows Music Festivals Private Events Cultural Celebrations Whether it's a family festival, summer concert, or classic car event, we deliver a high-energy, professional performance with vintage style, heartfelt music, and an unforgettable connection with the audience. I'd be honored to represent Whittier and help make your next event one to remember.
