I recently had the honor of painting this 8ft x 8ft mural of George Floyd. My goal was to uplift his life and legacy in a way that feels powerful, beautiful, and full of light. The stars in his eyes represent hope—for justice, for healing, and for a better world for all of us. This piece is dedicated to his family, his friends, and to the movement his life helped spark.

One week ago today I held my first intimate Wintering Dinner Salon at the @fsminneapolis, and invited 33 people to gather around the table to reflect on winter’s call for stillness and any other thing it needs to say in this season. The idea for this dinner was really born out of my love for setting a table and being in company with anyone looking for a soft landing to settle among winter’s frozen roots, and maybe find a little patch of sun from time to time. I am deeply grateful to The Four Seasons and @jdtober for saying yes to my inquiry to partner and host at their gorgeous space. Every experience with them the hospitality is so overwhelmingly intentional that is inspires me to raise my own level of service.

To have had so many people—many whom I knew, many I did not—come through and share space and ultimately leave as kindred spirits was beautiful. Some of you even ventured from out of state to be here! Thank you so much to everyone for leaving your cocoons on a cold Friday evening and infusing the room with so much beautiful conversation and love. I was overjoyed to be with you.

I am enormously grateful also to the contributors who helped lend their gifts to this evening to make it even more special. Sydney of @cosmos.floral created the beautiful floral arrangements for the table, and elevated that tablescape in such a thoughtful way. Go to her page and just oogle all of her floral rangements and then hire her ASAP for your next event 💐

To one of the coolest photographers @roy.son whom I connected with via Instagram, and who came through with his beautiful eye to make these photos, thank you so much. Can’t wait to collaborate with you again in the future.

And to my dear sister LaQuisha, of @the_studiohouse who sewed so many dinner napkins for this evening. I love you. I highly encourage anyone seeking tea towels and pillows to visit her page and shop the beautiful designs that she creates.

And lastly to my partner Mike for always deeply supporting me in all my ideas and throwing spaghetti against the wall alongside me ❤️

It's awesome when small businesses & small business owners can support each other. One of those moments was a few weeks ago. Styl'd Life Interior had an intimate business/holiday party in celebration of their hard work so far these 1st few years in existence.

Another fun moment of support? Sharing the evening with previous clients (Birthday party), future clients (2024 Wedding), & potentially new clients (when you're asked "why are you this good?" you know they had fun 😂)!

A WEEK AGO! Myself, @nicolemcrowder, @paris_js and @the_styldlife went to the @lynettempls pop-up at @petiteleonmpls and had an amazing dining experience. The food was perfectly coursed and the drinks were perfectly executed. I’m still reminiscing about this dinner and I’m grateful that I got to experience this with these lovely ladies. Excited to see Lynette come to life in 2024! Cheers 🥂🍾✨

Slipped into this past Sunday real easy thanks to a +1 invitation to brunch @khaluna.mpls by my girlfriend @the_styldlife ✨

For the many dinners and cocktail hours I have spent languishing in Khaluna’s dining room or patio, this was my first time experiencing their brunch, and it was a sensational blend of Loatian cuisine and reimagined takes on classic American favorites like steaks eggs, but with jeow sauce, or masala chai butter and condensed milk for the French toast. After my usual bout of indecision over how much to order (because that’s usually the dilemma vs. what to order) I enjoyed the Khao Soi, with its fresh rice noodles, chicken broth, tomato ragu, watercress, and pan-roasted chicken, with sides of the shrimp rolls and chicken samosas.

Highly recommend making this oasis on Lyndale your new brunch spot, and when you go, indulge in one of their signature cocktails or mocktails, and text me 😉

Sharing community, time together, and a warm meal nurtures more than just our physical body. It fuels our friendships and heightens our sense of belonging. For "GATHER," we centered the space around a cozy @roomandboard table complete with @slow.burn.mn candles, a @hennepinmade custom lighting installation, and of course, a showstopping floral cloud by the fabulous @studios.moss. On the opposite wall, we're so excited to feature a custom @wooltimber piece. Our bookshelves are filled with @holysmokesceramics, @bigstick.studio puzzles, @heresthedealspice spices, and cozy home accessories from @the_styldlife that make the season even more special.
