The second day of #autumnwatchweek2026 means nothing other than my Speedmaster against an autumn backdrop.

As I mentioned in one of my earlier posts, fall is the time when my NATO straps go into the closet and are replaced by other watch straps. Usually, these were leather straps, but in this case, I decided on a Sailcloth strap from @gingin_watches (this isn’t a collaboration, I bought the straps with my own money).

I have to admit, it’s a really cool strap. It’s a perfect match for the Speedmaster, and the material it’s made of means it can easily handle fall weather and rain.

Fall isn’t just about yellowing leaves falling from the trees and long evenings. It’s also the time of year when I put leather straps back on my watches.

It’s no different with my BB58, which now has a brown leather strap from @strapsco back on it. It’s a strap I also pair with my other watches, but I think it looks best with the Tudor.

Generally speaking, the BB58 itself is a watch that goes well with quite a few leather straps - some more elegant, some less so. It’s quite interesting, because the Tudor is, after all, a diver’s watch. But let’s be honest - its retro style means I have no problem pairing it with a leather strap.

This week has been very busy for me. There was so much going on at work that I decided not to post any new photos on Wednesday and Thursday, because I knew I wouldn’t be able to give them enough attention during the day. Unfortunately, that’s just how it is a post with no engagement disappears from Instagram very quickly and ends up with a laughably low reach and number of likes.

To be honest, I get the feeling that, in this regard, posting today’s post doesn’t make much sense either. You could say I’m an hour late with this post, maybe a little more. Unfortunately, this makes a big difference when it comes to reaching a significant portion of you. The post won’t get clicks, and the algorithm will hide it from you as uninteresting.

Lately, I’ve even started wondering if I shouldn’t just give up on Instagram. Month by month and week by week, things are getting worse and worse for me here. Recently, while sitting in the evenings and preparing photos for publication, I had this strange feeling that my efforts here won’t amount to anything. I can see that this account is regressing and slowly dying. The truth is, when I had half the number of followers I have now, my posts had greater reach and more likes. Taking photos of watches is still a lot of fun for me. It lets me relax after a week at work. Nevertheless, posting them and watching what happens to them afterward doesn’t give me the same satisfaction it used to. On the contrary, it’s frustrating that things aren’t working out again.
What’s the point of all this?

Another Tuesday and another batch of photos of a true watch icon.

These photos may not be of the highest quality, but I still think they’re worth sharing with you. The Omega Speedmaster Professional deserves to be showcased whenever the opportunity arises. “Speedy Tuesday” is undoubtedly such an opportunity.

I’ll tell you, I like this watch from almost every angle. Both from the front, where the dial design (unchanged for decades) has lost none of its functionality, and from the back, where you can see the watch’s mechanism, which is a real treat for the eyes.
All of this makes wearing this watch a real pleasure for me.

You have to start the week off right, preferably with a good watch on your wrist.

I think the Nomos Ahoi would be just such a watch. It’s a timepiece that combines simplicity, craftsmanship, and performance features you wouldn’t expect at first glance.

Let’s start with those specs—specifically, its 200-meter water resistance. Honestly, many people unfamiliar with this model are quite surprised by this fact. It’s not your typical diving watch, with a rotating bezel and plenty of luminescent material on the hour markers.
On the contrary, it’s a watch designed in the Bauhaus style. The watch’s maximum usability and readability stem from its absolute simplicity. There is absolutely nothing on the dial that could be considered superfluous.
However, such simplicity actually requires a high level of craftsmanship. This is evident not only in the attention to detail given to every visible element on the dial but, above all, in the appearance of the watch’s movement. Personally, I believe that for this price range, you can’t find a watch with a more attractive movement. It’s something you can look at for a very long time and derive genuine pleasure from.

Tuesday calls for celebrating with photos of a watch from a very specific model line. In my case, it’s the almost-classic Omega Speedmaster Professional.

What I like about days like today is that they inspire some of us to share photos of our Omega Speedmasters. I won’t hide the fact that I’m a fan of this watch line.

I have to admit that I’ve considered buying an Omega several times. Each time it was a different watch, but it was always a model from the Speedmaster line. I just have a soft spot for these chronographs. A few times I was close to buying a particular model, but something always got in the way. Fortunately, I finally managed to buy the watch I’m presenting today. What followed was a very long “honeymoon” with this timepiece, one that lasted nearly a year.

Have any of you had a similar experience with a watch, where you considered buying it several times before finally purchasing it?

Friday marks not only the start of the weekend but also another set of photos of a watch that some of you really like.

I’m starting this week with a watch that’s very original in its design. A watch that shows what a diving tool could look like. And this tool’s design was tested at a depth of 243 meters in Lake Garda, Italy. A Polish diver descended to exactly that depth with a prototype of this watch on his wrist.

This isn’t a diving watch with the classic design typical of such timepieces. It lacks a rotating bezel, which is a characteristic feature of this type of watch. However, I don’t think that’s a major issue. The watch’s appearance leaves no doubt that we’re dealing with a tool designed for a very specific purpose.

And let me tell you, that’s why I like micro brands. Because they have the courage to offer us watches with unconventional designs. Watches that dare to look different, extraordinary.
