From our song “Philotic Harmonies”

“Philotes” are fictional particles in the sci-fi series Enders Game that are the most basic building blocks of matter. In this universe each individual has their own sentient philote, and the connections between them are know as philotic energy, or bonds which are used for faster than light communications and ultimately near-instantaneous travel.

When re-reading this series a few years back I found the concept of “Philotic Harmonies” intriguing. The thought that each of us have a particle inside us smaller than a single atom that can form bonds and resonate with other particles along a similar frequency.
