🥇42nd BHMDGO🥇

Round 1: It had been a year since I played Exchange for a tournament and I was ready to play. Unfortunately I gave myself too many C2 putts and not enough C1 putts, so after round 1, I found myself at -3 (957 rated). The leader had me by 5 strokes, but I knew I was still in the mix for podium (and maybe even the win). I had to come out firing for my second round at Big Woods if I wanted a shot at either.

Round 2: Just like I wanted, I came out shooting hot at Big Woods. I made a plethora of bad mistakes and misses early, but I scrambled and weaved through them and found myself with a share of the lead with 6 holes to play. After the second round was finished, (I shot -6 which was 1000 rated on the dot), I was tied with @oliver.treloar for 1st place. After a one-hole playoff on Hole 1, I won my first event of the season (which also happened to be my last one of the season)!

What a great tournament to hang my hat on! The whole MA1 field was fierce, and it took a 979 rated event from me at a C-Tier just to win 1st place! It was great playing with @rileyrankindg @oliver.treloar @cartergoodwindiscgolf @hneymeyer and Josh, thank you all for pushing me to my limits! I am beyond grateful for my sponsor @theaccretiondiscs Their amazing shop and simulator allowed me to evolve my game this off season to get me where I am today. They genuinely made this whole season possible, so to that, I give my most sincere thank you!

Well… my personal season is now concluded. I’ll have a post later this year where I document some of my 2026 completed goals, stats, and just reflect on the overall season. With that being said, the College Disc Golf season is right around the corner, and I am happy to be representing @panthersdiscgolfclub again for my second, and final, college season. I can’t wait!!

The 2026 Titan Open:

For this event, I just wanted to play decent and shoot above my rating. For round one, we played Wildcat DGC from the Blue Tees and it is always a fun track to play! With the heat, humidity, and terrible mosquitoes, I had major trouble getting off the tees. I shot +4 (936 rated) and to be honest, I was not happy at all. I didn’t play up to my expectations and I was ready to move to round 2.

For Round 2, we played Shaver Blues. I was able to throw much better today off the tees and fairways, but the meltdowns happened on the putting green. I shot +2 (952 rated). This was easily my worst putting performance in a while.

For Round 3, we again played Shaver Blues. It was perfect conditions, but I just didn’t take advantage of that. I played very mediocre and struggled on the putting greens once again, but I also had insanely bad luck with 2 dead center spit-outs and numerous bad kicks off trees. I shot a +5 (913 rated).

Though I didn’t play well at all, I definitely appreciated my trip to Cedar Rapids, playing two of the most beautiful courses in all of Iowa. This was by far my worst A-Tier of my season thus far, but that’s alright. The best part of this sport is I can forgot about it and move on to the next tournament. Major shoutout to @zac_goodall for letting me stay with him and his family this weekend AND for helping me caddy on the courses. This tournament wouldn’t have been possible without your help so thank you brother! Also big thanks to my sponsor @theaccretiondiscs for powering my disc golf game. I wouldn’t be able to compete in my tournaments without their help. Onto my biggest event of the season, the 2026 Ledgestone Open…

2026 Discmania Challenge:

I was excited to play this A-Tier for the first time in my career. This was also my first time ever playing Pickard, Southwoods, and Walnut, so my expectations wern’t too high. I just wanted to play decent and have some fun with the boys this week.

Round 1: Not too mad with my first round finish. Pickard is a challenging track and shooting a +4 (965 rated) with only playing 1 practice round there is honestly above my expectations for the course. I felt decent about this performance and I was ready to make a push on day 2.

Round 2: We played Southwoods Park and this was the course that I felt like would be a make or break for me. Fortunately, I navigated the course well and shot a -7 (1005 rated) which was way above my expectations. I went 10/10 from C1X which explains a whole lot about my shooting. I was ready for the final day.

Round 3: We played Walnut and it was extremely wet. To be fair, we ALL had to play in the same conditions, but I have historically never played good in the rain. I started the round off hot, but cooled off on the back nine and shot a +3 (938 rated).

All in all, I tied for 11th place at my first Discmania Challenge. I am very proud of myself for how I handled playing 3 new courses in a A-Tier tournament setting. That really gives me a lot of confidence moving further into my season. Congrats to one of my best friends @hneymeyer for winning it all. It was great hanging with @rileyrankindg and @coopcat_dg for the weekend. Also, thank you to @zac_goodall and Hannah for hosting all of us for this awesome event. And, of course, wouldn’t have been able to ‘play like a stud’ if it wasn’t for my sponsor @theaccretiondiscs for powering my disc golf game, so a huge thanks goes out to them!! I’ll be ready to shoot hot for my next A-Tier tournament, the 2026 Titan Open.

🥈The 2026 Iron Lion Rumble🥈

Round 1: This was the best start I have ever had at the Rumble. I came out and shot -6 at Devil’s Glen which put me on the lead card and I was only 2 shots off the leader. I think I played well because I played with no pressure. This was the first time in my career where I just wanted to play and have fun, and didn’t care what I shot.

Round 2: For the second round, I got to play with Zander for the third time this year. We both played well enough to make it to the final lead card together. West Lake is a beast, but I tried my hardest to play with no pressure while gaining strokes where I could. I believe that served me well as I shot a -5 round which put me in first place by one stoke heading into the final day.

Round 3: For the last round, I tried my hardest to score at Camden 2, but it was very wet outside. The night before, thunderstorms rolled through the area, and I’d be lying if I said the rain didn’t effect my play. Though it affected my play, everyone else also had to play through the same conditions, so that’s no excuse, just something to take note of. I ended up shooting -2 which put me in second place for the Rumble.

I ended up finishing at -13 for the event and up getting solo 2nd Place. As it stands, this is the best tournament performance of my career. Thank you to my amazing sponsor @theaccretiondiscs for allowing me to get a podium finish in my first A-Tier of the season. This is also my first A-Tier podium finish ever! I couldn’t have done it without their help! Also, thank you to all my friends, family, and supporters for being there for me during this tournament and for the Anselmi family hosting us at their house. I’ll check back in after my next event of the season, the Des Moines Challenge.

The 2026 College Disc Golf Season:

With the conclusion of the 2026 @collegediscgolf National Championships, our college season has come to an end. We have had many ups and downs as a group, but either way, we have made the most of it and had a blast while doing it.

This past weekend specifically, the boys and I went down to Rock Hill, South Carolina to compete in the D2 field at Nationals. We ended up taking 16th place out of 48 teams, so even though that’s not what we exactly wanted, it’s definitely nothing to hang our heads on.

This season I made so many great friends and memories while at UNI. Shoutout to the fellas for making it an unforgettable year (@zander.dg @daneharbert @coopcat_dg @hneymeyer @camswitz6 ). I wouldn’t trade these moments for anything and I am so happy that I made the decision to become a UNI Panther.

As always, thanks to my other supporters. Firstly, thank you to @theaccretiondiscs for powering my disc golf game! From home, thanks to my parents, friends, and wonderful girlfriend Samantha for always sticking by my side no matter the circumstances on the course.

Also shoutout to the boys for the alumni support! It was great getting to hear from you all this week! (@rileyrankindg @zac_goodall @travis.wills @lincolnlasourd @dillongrau )

As for the future, my own personal disc golf season is far from over, but the college season will have to wait one more year. In 2027, the Panthers and I will be back to Rock Hill for one last ride. Unfortunately we will be losing Cooper, Hunter, and Cam but I wish them the best luck and they will be missed next season!
